Anyone found or know of a good stream? I'm stuck on the couch with a bad back and would really like to watch this.

Why the highlighter yellow uniforms? Aren't they our "big game" home uniforms?

Horford's been good.

I hope that when McGary gets back he can actually maintain possession of the basketball. It'd put him a solid step ahead of any other big we've got.

Shooting is off, obviously, but the main issue I see is not protecting the ball down low. Lots of strips when Morgan/Horford/Bielfeldt just don't squeeze the ball, and lots of lost opportunities because of it.

Period. GRIII's ego and issues with playing the 4 be damned.

The longer this goes on the more uneasy I'm feeling about their ability to turn it on. This might just turn into one of those games where we can't do anything right.

I haven't been able to watch either of the exhibition games, so this is my first exposure to the basketball team. They look completely lost out there without Trey. Already reached the point of chucking up 3s for offense and doing it pretty terribly.

The ledge; back off it.
They'll be fine. I thought Walton pressed a little too much to find the exceptional pass. One possession he got deep in the lane and had space to put a shot up but tried to shovel it to Morgan, instead, who was already getting into rebound position.
If anything, they need to be more aggressive and pick up the tempo.

Frustrating when we're facing an opponent with no interior presence to speak of and we so seldom attack the basket.

That if you do synch up the MGoBlue Audio with the stream, it's pretty hilarious watching the halftime interviews. The 12 year old student reporter looks NOTHING like the audio reporter interview sounds.

I'm not sure who would win a shooting contest right now. A blind man, spun around 20 times and given a basketball or the teams first half's performance. I'm off to the bar to forget the games on so I can get the text's from all my Sparty and Buckeye fans if this ends badly.
November 8th, 2013 at 7:54 PM ^
if this ends badly, it will not just be Spartys and Buckeyes we hear from. I will not mention the team that shall not be mentioned and the comparisons that will be made...

Not enough penetration or movement on offense - shooting % always drops when you aren't creating easy shots. Not making free throws, bigs turning it over.
Shouldn't complain much about defense considering the score, but always frustrated when our inside guys concede baskets to smaller players because they stand flat-footed with their hands up instead of trying to block a shot. I know it keeps fouls down, but you shouldn't have to foul to block or disrupt someone half a foot shorter than you, either. Horford especially has way too much shot blocking ability to so often let a guy drive right at him and lay it right up over top of him.
I also think we hedge a little too often, and can't believe how many teams bail us out by so rarely passing to the guy who rolls to the basket undefended. But this has been a complaint of mine for years, and we went to the title game last year so what do I know...
November 8th, 2013 at 7:57 PM ^
When they hedge they get back with their arms up, and usually while the guard is moving the opposite direction. Makes it relatively tough to see/get the ball to someone down in the post. I think it's one of those things that looks more vulnerable on TV than from the court.

Hey, I always have been and always will be a much bigger hockey fan than basketball fan. So that's a much bigger deal to me than the basketball team struggling.
As for the soccer team, they beat IU in Ann Arbor for the first time ever this year. Not too bad.
