of alltime. I would dare to call him top 25 alltime defensive players

First defensive player to win the Heisman... Only a handful of players in the modern era played "both ways," but Chuck did it superbly.
8-time pro bowler, Super Bowl Champion and his longevity is/has been amazing. He's won just about ever award a defensive player can earn. Unanimous first-ballot Hall of Famer, easily.
Not to mention he's a stalwart supporter of the University, especially with Mott Children's Hospital. I hope he breaks the record this season!

The CBS Sports article on the subject pointed out, interestingly enough, that Woodson's first defensive TD in the NFL was 15 years ago almost to the day (October 4th, 1998) against Arizona. It also mentions that Charles and Rod Woodson were teammates in Oakland in 2002 when Rod managed his 13th defensive TD as well.

Just heard that on WTKA, saw your post, and realized I'm wearing my Charles Woodson Clinical Research T-shirt. (Not a surprise. My at-home garb of choice.) Oct. 7 is an important birthday date in my life (shared by 3 people who were very close to me), so now I get to pretend this is personally significant.
Happy b'day, Charles!

He also needs one more pick six to tie the record for that as well. He's the man.

First. Ballot. Hall of Fame.

he has played defense in an era of the NFL where defensive backs have been marganalized by the rulebook to the lowest possible levels. Everything the NFL has done over the past 20 years has been to make the passing game unstoppable.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Woodson.
