Alex Bars to Notre Dame
Looks like he just committed to ND.

Clearly a communist.
NO POLITICS!!!
Not sure if I need the /s
wow. i guess he doesn't want to follow anyone's footsteps but his own.
that is probably more influential than his brothers'.
Don't want him at this point. He's a guard, and we need a prototypical tackle. Jones measured 6-4 at that camp a few weeks ago.
Yeah, I disagree with that as well. Not every OT is 6'6" (in fact most aren't) and he's a great OL prospect. We have a lot of guys right now who could play OT or OG, and though Jones might end up a guard, his height will not keep him from playing tackle.
People put way too much emphasis on height for these guys, especially since (like 40 times) most of them are exaggerated by an inch or two. Plus, not every 6'7" guy has longer arms than every 6'4" guy, and that's the important part anyway.
If only we could get a prototype offensive tackle. Athletic, top ranked recruit, like 6'7" tall, from a hotbed area like New Jersey, plays for one of those Catholic powerhouses, maybe named, oh I don't know, Juwann Bushell-Beatty. That would be awesome :D
Double post. I get to take a drink!
Shucks. It looks like Ace will never have a 100% score on his 24/7 predictions. It's okay. As long as Peppers commits all will be forgiven.
If you ain't first, you're last!
Since Grant Irons.
Seriously though, good luck to him. Can't trash talk the brother of a Wolverine. He went where his heart is, and that's what it's all about.
Not too upset considering out OL hauls the last two years. Also considering we are in on numerous top recruits, i'm fine with getting developmental guys like JBB and letting them sit.
most of ND's commits starting next February will never play against UM unless they play as true Freshmen or they meet in a bowl game.
Bummer, but best of luck to him. I'm just glad he didn't go to one of our rivals.
The Chicago Tribune had a direct quote from Alex Bars (HERE):
"I thought about it real hard for like the last month," Bars told Irish Illustrated. "Pressure started coming on and spots started filling up. I just realized that was the school for me."
The ESPN blog (HERE) has a little more too. Bars had said that he knew about a week ago, but his parents encouraged him to wait and make sure he was going where he really wanted.
Best of luck to Alex Bars.
I was hoping he'd be like his brother and go blue.
I had heard from someone close to the Doles family that after UM's latest OL commit that the coaches called Tommy and told him they no longer had a spot for him. (Shortly after talking to teh UM coaches Doles commited to NW.) So I'm guessing that any UM offers to OL will only go to tackles.
Didn't see this coming.
Atleast you guys land Peppers.
We hope so.
(Why was this post neg'd? just because he's from ND?)
So what will you guys be called when the 2014 game is killed by UM?
Wolverines.
Bunting going to UM you mean? Meh, we got Weishar. Down year for TEs imo.
but good luck to Mr. Bars nonetheless. With only one more spot to fill (presumably) we have lots of time still to find a good player. The coaches may have to fire up the printer and print off a few more offer letters, but that's what paper is for.
you had to expect him to go. The quota from the next generation had to be filled. enjoy the St. Ed's Hall dorm dance young man!
