Ferns is going to announce that Hoke told him he's going to the NFL and that Gruden will take over as head coach.

That's MSU's new recruit. He had to hitch a ride on the meteor to get here for spring practice.

I hate the off season more than anything in the world....it is 9:30 a.m. and I am anxiously awaiting a tweet release from Michael Ferns...what is wrong with me.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:30 AM ^
Maybe it's an announcement that we're dishing Adidas and going back to Nike! Im pretty sure recruits would dig that
February 15th, 2013 at 9:45 AM ^
That would at least make sense, since the Adidas contract runs through the 2015 season, and Ferns said it would pertain to current and future recruits. Although Ferns wouldn't be the one to announce something like that.

I think they already have Michigan cups.

tough crowd. I didn't want to ask the question in another thread for fear of being labeled off-topic, so I created a thread about any intel on it. If I knew there was so much criticism out there on this, I would have just kept on knitting.
February 15th, 2013 at 10:29 AM ^
Your post was fine - you clearly labeled what it was about, so if anyone was uninterested, they didn't have to click. Those that did, and then posted, essentially are saying nothing more than: This is a stupid topic and wasted my valuable time. My time is so valuable that I come on a sports blog in the morning, click on threads that absolutely do not interest me, and then take more of my valuable time to comment on how I don't like the thread, or perhaps even try to post a comical reference that is so clever that only 4 other posters made the same joke.
Personally, I would take this topic over some of the random OT threads.
February 15th, 2013 at 10:47 AM ^
You didn't explain what you were talking about. Not everyone follows Michael Ferns on Twitter. Next time you should give a little more context about where the story is coming from. "I'm excited about a big surprise" isn't very informative.
February 15th, 2013 at 1:29 PM ^
It was informative if you were paying attention yesterday. But if you're relatively new or wasn't on here yesterday, then yes it wasn't very clear.
February 15th, 2013 at 1:38 PM ^
"funny" for your knitting comment. Does that help??
February 15th, 2013 at 1:42 PM ^
I was hoping someone would notice that subtle attempt at humor...if for no other reason but to indicate that I really wasn't taking all this too seriously.
February 15th, 2013 at 2:28 PM ^
And I for one am fine with this thread. A surprise for football, yes please! Certainly beats "Fire Al Borges" any day.... We've had a rough week, we can use a nice surprise.

February 15th, 2013 at 10:18 AM ^
Being so defensive is just making it worse. Anyone who starts any sort of OT thread takes at least some abuse. Just let it roll.
February 15th, 2013 at 10:23 AM ^
I am letting it roll. The gif is sarcasm, a favorite source of humor of mine, and the response to the other guy was to let him know I'm fine with it and that I was just voicing frustration. If I really was being defensive, my response would have been a lot longer and more involved, but I'm just making a statement here. It really isn't a big deal.
See? Now you've got me waxing poetic about it when I really didn't want to. I realize that going on and on and on doesn't improve things. But when someone tells me to "relax" is the precise time that I am not relaxed. So...yeah.
February 15th, 2013 at 10:53 AM ^
You don't seem so fine with it.
February 15th, 2013 at 10:53 AM ^
I never used the word relax. I agree; I hate it when people tell me to relax. It makes me less relaxed.
By let it roll, I meant that you should just cease responding and commenting.

Asteroid DA14 will actually hit Columbus, according to University of Michigan scientists.
After turning the city into a smoking pile of rubble, it will be an actual improvement.
