The mental images of wide wife, friend to fried chicken (pets the chicken, "it won't hurt while I chop your head off . . . you're going to chicken heaven, sweetheart. Luv you, bye!" Thwack,) just internally amuse me greatly, somehow.

Dude, she may be a little heavy, but you shouldn't call her your "wide". Have some compassion.
November 29th, 2012 at 11:05 AM ^
I've never been a fan of friend chicken. Too bland. I find enemy chicken has just the right amount of kick.

Is it my imagination or is that a picture of Mark Elzinga?
November 28th, 2012 at 9:24 PM ^
Just one of several losses to "UM" that MSU will experience in 2012-2013.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:25 PM ^
Miami. Wow. I think Ohio is also not as good as "advertised". Indiana and Michigan may very well be the cream of the crop. I did want the Big Ten to take home another "ACC/BigTen Challenge" title.
November 28th, 2012 at 11:28 PM ^
As much i want to agree, i can't. Duke is one heck of a team this year and already has a great resume so soon into the season. For Ohio to go into Cameron Indoor and make it a game deserves something (you don't have to call it respect, lol, but at least recognition).
November 29th, 2012 at 12:31 AM ^
- Duke
- Indiana
- Ohio State
- Michigan
That's my top 4 right now, based on (sort of) the preseason but leaning heavily towards the early season results we've seen.
November 29th, 2012 at 11:56 AM ^
Ohio St
Albany (5-2) W
Rhode Island (1-6) W
Washington (3-3) W
Mo-Kansas City (2-3) W
Duke (7-0) L
Michigan
Slippery Rock W
IUPUI (3-4) W
Cleveland St (5-2) W
Pitt (6-1) W
Kansas St (5-1) W
NC State (4-2) W
I haven't seen much of Ohio other than the second half last night but you really think their resume is better than UM's at this point?

BC is really bad so PSU has a real shot.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
So Sparty. Save the choking for when a win would help Michigan by making the B1G look better.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:26 PM ^
eh. EHHHHH

It's Miami...

We rushed the court when we beat #14 UConn
(I wish we didn't though...)

Wait for the matchups against Minnesota and Illinois (I suppose IU as well, but you can be a good team and lose to IU) at the end of January/start of Februrary. If Izzo can't pull them together by then (which seems to be his MO), then they'll be left behind in the dust for a while in this conference.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:27 PM ^
had Miami has the 8th best ACC team going into this game.
Get the Fuck off my court Izzo- says Miami
November 28th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
....from Tom Izzo, or at least this is what he might be feeling anyway...

While I am more than happy to see Sparty choke, Boise State might be better than people think. They just beat #11 Creighton 83-70, with Derrick Marks scoring 35 in the process. Then again, had Marks not fouled out against MSU they might have beaten them too.

You sir, deserve ALL the points.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
Barry Larkin's son (who played baseball at Michigan) is Miam's starting PG and himself a good game too. There's always a Michigan connection somewhere.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
Man... usually I don't do this, but I have been waiting 12 years for this moment and I will enjoy it!
FROM RCMB:
"The chicken littles are out in force tonight. Look, I wish we looked better right now too. I wish we could go undefeated every hoops season and win a National Championship every single season. Not gonna happen, sorry.
It's effing November, and this team just played four games in 8 days, with a whole lot of minutes minus Trice and Harris. Our season is not over at 5-2, not even close. You'd think at this point Izzo would have earned enough trust with the fanbase to play Gauna at point and not be questioned. The team will be FINE. Little bit of rest and some more practice time, and they will be just fine. So quit bitching about a poor showing on the road in November against a tournament-worthy team.
Izzo will destroy this game tape with a sledgehammer, and the team will go on a tear when it counts."
This is so good!
Also just for good measure...

November 28th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
And then they start calling Miami's fans piles of sticks for rushing court. Good job, MSU.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
MSU will likely fall out of the rankings too. What a horrible (fantastic) start to their season.
November 28th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
I have been misled before. Izzo's teams come together at the end of the year. I'm not counting wins until their over.
