The alumni association is going to have a gameday event at The Single Barrel, short walk from the stadium.
If you want to have tickets in hand before gameday, check this out: http://seatgeek.com/michigan-wolverines-at-nebraska-cornhuskers-footbal…
Can't wait to support the team in Lincoln.

I was just wondering what kind of pregame festivities are happening for the game, Tailgates, parties, ect. We are making the trip up from Kansas City, we are originally from Michigan. We have big Wolverine football parties here every game day. We are looking for the Wolverine groups for next weekends game to enjoy some pregame festivities with.
Thanks
GO BLUE!!

May or may not. I live in Omaha and my sister's boyfriend's dad is a sports writer for the Omaha World Herald so I'm trying to bum a pass of him.

Flying out on Friday. Night game in a "must see" stadium against a team with a great tradition and a mega-devoted fan base? Yes, please. It's going to be a great environment. Also, with Nebraska's defensive struggles this year, I'm def looking forward to some long runs by Denard.

Definitely. I'll see Daniel Day Lewis in anything.

I know of 2 singles (not together, but fairly close) in Michigan section that I'd love an MGoer to get. Face value.

This will be the first Michigan game I've attended in 2 years. Lot harder to make it to games since moving to California, so I'm stoked for this one. Should be a great game.

I'm in a group going...hopefully we'll see everyone at the alumni event beforehand. It would be great to have a big UM presence there!
October 21st, 2012 at 5:20 PM ^
I will be making the trip. Friend from Nebraska is hooking me up with a ticket for $100. Fired up to see a night game in Lincoln, not excited about the 12 hour car ride though.

Omaha to save money. Is it about like staying in Toledo for a game in Ann Arbor?
October 21st, 2012 at 5:43 PM ^
In my opinion, no. I don't know if you know where Adrian, Michigan is, (My Hometown!) but it'd be like staying there. Its probs a 45 min drive from WEST omaha to Lincoln.
October 21st, 2012 at 5:49 PM ^
I'm from Omaha originally, It's going to be a long drive with all the traffic to go from Omaha to Lincoln. just a heads up.
October 21st, 2012 at 5:50 PM ^
I'm getting snuck into the game and will be on the sidelines.. it's great to have connections!

This summer, I stayed in Nebraska for 7 days to play in a golf tournament and visit the Univ of Nebraska. We stayed in a hotel on the west side of Omaha. I would say that downtown/central Ohmaha is about an hour from Lincon, but the western suberb/side is only about 40-45 min, and it's a dead straight shot on the freeway (I think it was I-80). It helps that the stadium (and parking i'm assuming) is on the East side of Lincoln, so you don't have to go through downtown. Omaha is bigger. If anyone needs help with food, airport stuff, and other directions please ask. I can give the hotel we stayed at as well if anyone wants it.
edit: then again, all these driving times are without gameday traffic.

I'm currently going to grad school at UNO (Omaha) so all my fellow GA's are huge husker fans. They all have connections for stuff, so (unfortunately) I'll be hanging out with a bunch of hukser fans before/during the game.
It would be great to have another complete ass kicking to hold over their heads (not to mention control over the division).

Yep. Just scored 4 tix together at face value today. Looking forward to it. Lincoln is an electric gameday experience. Although this is my first trip as a fan of the opposing team. Great tailgating and a lot of great bars downtown within walking distance.

I live in West Omaha and my son is flying in from Phoenix to go to the game. If you pass my house you'll see all the M flags flying. Stay out here and it's a 45 minute drive. Very easy right down I-80. Look for hotels around 180th and Center or right on 1-80 as far west as possible.

I'll be there! REPRESENT!

these people of the corn love their football team and likely have absolutely nothing else interesting to do.
good tickets $250 on stub hub and hotel in lincoln $500 2 nights required
who wants to drive to omaha at midnight?

Thursday night. My buddy has local family in Lincoln with bbq and keg pre-installed for our arrival. Found a single seat online for 135...pretty cheap compared to others I saw. Hope to see some Mgoblog friends there!!

I'm still working on finalizing the details, but I plan on driving up from Oklahoma City, about a 7 hour drive. Fortunately for me, I will be heading west after the game and hotels out in the middle of nowhere, 45 miles west of Lincoln aren't full, so I'll be staying just one night for $100. BTW, does anyone know where the students sections are?
