The two biggest problems with this plan:
1. What are you doing while the first half is being played live? Because I have a hard time knowing there is Michigan football going on and not watching it.
2. One of my favorite things to do, as well as many of my friends/family, is text when good and bad things happen. You would also need to turn off your phone while this was going on.
For not as big sporting events, this works fine. For Michigan football, though, I think you just watch it when it happens.

Not to mention, I like to pretend I am at the game and caving in to the 'down in front' crowd by sitting during commercials.

I too have done this.
By the time the game's over, the workout it complete, the bathroom cleaned, I feel good about myself and about my chances that night. And I didn't have to sacrifice my favorite mindlessness.
Everyone else was too busy being told how awful their lives are.

I'm drinking the ever-smooth Busch Light.
Also, the Kraken.

Another problem is that I like to check the stats while the game is going on. You can't do that if you're behind without ruining it. I've made that mistake before.

Just got back from a pretty tough bike ride so I just had a protein shake. Next I'll probably start beer comsumption with a Leinie Summer Shandy as a shower beer. After that it'll probably be some other Leinie selections since my roomate has a little obsession with the 'sconsin based company. Our fridge is full of various flavors of their stuff. Eventually I'll progress into some Blue Light to end the night.

I'm drinking some Shiner Bock while adding the finishing touches to a replica of the old College GameDay set for a Costume 5K tomorrow morning in Minneapolis. Probably the only time GameDay visits Dinkytown.

it's RED'S Rye. Please don't fuck up the name of Founder's Brews.
Bonus info: if you're drinking bottles, the wierd looking guy on the label is a homeless guy who used to hang out around Founders' original location...nickname was 'Red'. One of the bartenders told me that a few years back.
Red's Rye, the original and BEST Rye Pale. Almost every brewery does a rye pale style now, and a lot of great ones out there, but only ONE Red's Rye Pale. Founders ROCKS.

with a 12 pack of Coors Light Cans... cuz they help me aim my satellite dish. Then around 10AM, I'll pop open a 2 Liter of Pepsi Max and a fifth of Bacardi Torched Cherry Rum which I will sip on while I play cornhole until around 3PM. Then I will have 4 bottles of water as I walk to Section 24... and then it's ON!

a seasonal pepper style beer. It's good but they over-did it on the peppers this year. Had to cut it with some of my own home brew.

Ill say it again. I am back home, yes, and i love everything about our great state. In the meantime sipping some Sam Adams after a wonderful rehearsal dinner of a great friend from UM in Arcadia. Chillin in northern Michigan is pretty much heaven.
Amen and Go Blue!!
