Denard Tribute

Great work!
I added a link
Is it ok that I cried a little? He may not be the best to ever don the winged helmet, but it's a pretty safe bet that we'll never see a highlight reel (or a smile) like his again.
"He may not be the best to ever don the winged helmet"
That will be proven false, after this season.
If he has kids one day they could be future Michigan players! Dilithium Jr. anyone?!
i nearly welled up when van bergen tells denard he's a legend
My favorite Denard moment: His first college play. I was in the stands, and think, "Fuck, he dropped the ball..." Only for him to introduce himself to the world in a most spectacular way. He may be my favorite Michigan player ever.
I was sitting in the opposite endzone (I was still in high school in 2009...) for that WMU game. I'll always remember the "Rich Rod-riguez!" chants and perhaps the most memorable play in my lifetime. We're all truly blessed to have witnessed the Shoelace era.
This was exactly what I needed to get me through the conference call I'm on...... Damn is he fun to watch, and I can't wait to board that plane for Dallas in a few weeks!
for not putting some shit bag soundtrack to that. Great tribute video.
Loved having all the audio calls. Really added to the video
The "they'll never catch him" line is definitely one of my favorite announcing lines. It's up there with "touchdown Manningham!" and "hello Heisman!"
what about "shoelaces flopping in the wind"
"They left him ALONE!" (in re: Jeremy Gallon)
Denard's first play... "Broken plays are dangerous... look at that speed!". Mike Patrick began speaking when Denard was at the 16 yard line, and he scored before he finished his sentence. Amazing!
You know Denard's fast when Frank has to say 40, 30, 20, 10, Touchdown!
...Denard runs in increments of 10 yards rather than everybody else in the world who run in increments of 5.
WOW. What a great video. What a great kid. What a great player. What a great...
MICHIGAN MAN.
Hail to the Victors. Go Blue! Beat 'Bama!
Great video.
Though I have a feeling there will need to be another one after this season, and it will be a bit longer.
2012, here we come.
Love the kid.
...and I never get tired of hearing Brent Musberger tell us that the throwback to Vincent Smith is "one of the plays they practice". Damn, if we only practiced some other plays, just think how good we would be.
As much shit at Musberger get's I get the chills every time I hear "THEY LEFT HIM ALONE!!!" on Gallon's catch.
This is an excellent tribute - I had a grin on my face for the entire 14:31 run time, and it was just the thing I needed after a long morning of listening to people ask me why their jobs weren't done 15 minutes ago.
It did make me think, of course, how much I will miss this electric presence after this year. Every game I have attended during his time here to date, I have just thought, "Damn, this is fun...and he's on my team." every time the jets kick in and he finds himself in a different ZIP code compared to the nearest defender.
Good man, that Denard.
When I make player tributes, I like to keep them between 10-13 minutes. But that's going to be a difficult task when Denard's Michigan career is over. He's got enough highlights to make an hour long video.
Heard it here first folks. Hour long wolverine historian video is in the works. I can't wait.
Man football season needs to get here quickly. Tough time of year sportswise....getting closer to kickoff every minute!!
Awesome-After 40 years of being a Michigan fan, Dernard is hands down my favorite. Not only for his football skills, but how he handles himself, his charisma, his demeanor, his love for the game , his teammates and the university. Nothing is scripted. And don't forget him being a fan and supporting the other sports. You've never seen this all rolled into one superstar. But, he's not done eating. I think we're going to see one of the most amazing years in Michigan football and college football that a player has. Go Blue
We need to decide on a song, and don't need to think about it until then, but this song must be sung to Denard by the Michigan Stadium crowd as he leaves the field for the last time.
That should then become a tradition that we sing to all the seniors as they leave at the last home game of the season.
My favorite part: Molk at 09:15 telling Denard, "You just became a legend."
Damn straight.
Regardless, I missed that if it was in other videos. There are some great clips in there.
It was RVB, but point well taken.
In my haste, I somehow mistook RVB for Molk. I'll go watch several games and interviews as pennance.
It's been a privilege to root for this kid.
I think we can all agree its going to be sad to see Denard leave! Although i have a feeling there is more to come! Denard 2.0
No sound at work. Can't wait to get home and watch this.
So much credit to his parents and family -- what a fine young man. Also massive props to Rich Rod and his staff for finding Denard.
Denard is a legend, and his legacy will only grow. Go Blue!!
Damn, who's cutting onions up in this piece? Oh...nobody. Uh...uh...damn allergies!
Obviously all of the runs and touchdowns and such are fantastic, but I think my favorite part of that video is Denard running around with such pure unadulterated joy after the Sugar Bowl win. Not only is he an incredible player, the likes of which we may never see again in a winged helmet, but his joy and love for football, his university, and his teammates is what makes me proud that he plays for Michigan.
My face cracked in half grinning during the UTL series.
It has been amazing to watch him grow as a player, and a person. We gotta enjoy this year because there will never be another person with his personality walking through those doors at Schembechler hall. It's going to be magical.
Not only will his accomplishments on the football field earn him that recognition but it's his character and demeanor as well that truly exemplifies it! Awesome tribute! Makes me excited for some Michigan football!! Go Blue!!! and Go Denard!!! :)
Youtube is blocked at work and I'm glad I came home to watch this one! Nice job. Me hungry for more denad highlights in 2012!
when I say... "Best Video Montage EVER. PERIOD... end of fucking story, that was amazing! Bring on 'Bama!
Denard sounds like Theo Huckstable.
Awesome video. Guess I have to wait a little while to post mine because it's not nearly as good as this one. It's gonna be sad to see him finish up his time at Michigan.
He is the definition of what a Michigan Man is. Absolutely love seeing him supporting Michigan athletics and that smile is just amazing.
