I think the mods deleted your other thread, but kept this one.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:38 PM ^
Tried again. These mods are quick.

I think you are underestimating the sneakiness...

He was having a HORRIBLE game with the flu or whatever. He falls down and the next thing you know you see him hopping all around the arena on his own? If he is seriously hurt the state training staff sure didn't care too much.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:35 PM ^
Sensitive buttons, sounds like a bad problem!
January 31st, 2012 at 9:36 PM ^
Sensitive buttons... Hm... Nah, too easy...
January 31st, 2012 at 9:38 PM ^
It looked pretty bad. He couldn't put any weight on it at all throughout the entire time he was on the bench.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:39 PM ^
As much as I dislike Draymond, you never want to see a kid get injured. And, I wanted MSU at full strength next week do there were no excuses when we extend the streak.
January 31st, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
Really? I do not care about excuses from their idiotic fans. I care about winning and if an injury to Draymond is the best way we can win, so be it. All that matters is winning. I do not wish kids to get injured, but I do not complain if they help Michigan win.
January 31st, 2012 at 11:53 PM ^
Take it easy, Charlie Sheen. It's a Sparty move to cheer injuries to opposting teams' players.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:01 AM ^
his avatar is consistent with his assessment. I mean, a Sith Lord pretty much embodies win at all cost.
February 1st, 2012 at 11:10 AM ^
I clearly said I never wish injuries upon someone, but also said I don't complain when they happen. Like I said, all that matters is winning and if their top player is out, that's great for Michigan.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:40 PM ^
It's always sad to hear of a student getting injured, even when it's a rival athlete.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:41 PM ^
Green is a great guy, hard worker and terrific representative for that school. Also, I don't want Michigan to beat them for the fourth straight time when they are at half strength. But yes, their team is pretty much awful without him.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:58 PM ^
an awful home team will beat an awful shooting away team anyday. today MSU-Illi just showed that. So i don;t really care if all they played were their bench players as long as we win, but if we lost that would be more embarrassing
January 31st, 2012 at 9:56 PM ^
But, I'd rather beat them when they're at half strength than lose to them. Yes, State fans would definitely be annoying, and complain about how we beat them, but a win is a win is a win is a win, and injuries are a naturally occuring part of sports.
February 1st, 2012 at 3:58 AM ^
Don't think you'd find too many State fans complaining about how the death penalty we incurred in the 90's handed them and Izzo the in-state dominance for over a decade. Green's a good kid, but end of day, as a fan you have to accept any type of chaos that might help your team get ahead.
Same goes for all these people saying they're happy Ohio has Urban Meyer now because that way "we can beat them when they're good." That's crap. Michigan hoops and Michigan football haven't won a BiG in a while. We need to get off our high horse and just be happy at any opportunity we have to compete and beat our rivals at recruiting or on the court/field.
Hope Green gets better fast, he's a great kid, but I'll be happy if he's not in the line up come Sunday.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:42 PM ^
Can you imagine the excuses? That win doesn't matter because we didn't have Draymond. We're still a better team.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:44 PM ^
which is true. Nice job retard.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
Haha already making excuses when the game hasn't even been played yet? Sparty troll fail.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:52 PM ^
losing your best player is a pretty good excuse. michigan fan fail.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:01 PM ^
You're an idiot. Your best player averages 7 points a game against michigan. The michigan football team has had significant injuries the last couple years, so if you take back a Sparty football win then we won't count this upcoming bball win. Deal?
January 31st, 2012 at 10:17 PM ^
list these significant injuries you retarded asshat. Green is the best player and leader of the team. A little more serious than some freshman. Your stupidity knows no bounds.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:22 PM ^
did you just argue with yourself on a blog? that's a first.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:25 PM ^
I think its YOU who is the idiot. Read that post again.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:13 PM ^
Good teams have enough talent and depth that they don't need to use an injury to excuse a loss.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
He wasn't making excuses, he's saying that MSU fans will.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:18 PM ^
The guy got banned. Now my previous two posts make no sense.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:20 PM ^
Your posts never made sense in the first place.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:37 PM ^
...and your posts still don't make sense. The guy was indicating the excuses Sparty would make. It wasn't his voice. Reading is fundamental. Flaming is easy but best used in small doses.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:48 PM ^
Are you serious? TheMaizeIsStrong (banned guy and sparty troll) replied to ThadMattasgoblin saying some b.s about TMG being a retard, which is when I replied with my first post. Then he replied to me saying that having your best player out is a legitimate excuse for a loss. Which I replied to saying whatever I said above.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:53 PM ^
That's not what happened
January 31st, 2012 at 10:54 PM ^
You're wrong
January 31st, 2012 at 10:55 PM ^
You raise a good argument.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:58 PM ^
Touche.
January 31st, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
not banned. suck my dick
January 31st, 2012 at 10:38 PM ^
way funnier before you explained that.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
Meh. We've had a few games over the past years without key players (ie Jamal Crawford being declared ineligible just hours before tip off) and it never gave us a legitimate excuse. It never stopped MSU from bragging either.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:56 PM ^
Comparing an injury to something that was Crawfords own fault. Why is everyone on this board mentally incapable of thought?
January 31st, 2012 at 10:08 PM ^
I used Crawford as one example because it sticks out in my mind. There was another game that Manny or LaVell missed IIRC

Crawford didn't "do" anything either. It was NCAA applying penalties inconsistently. They effectively ended his ameteur status over something other athletes have done since.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:59 PM ^
Hey dude, don't feed the troll. Guys like DenardsThirdHeisman and TheMaizeisStrong are only visible on the mobile app cause they got banned but there's a loophole
January 31st, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
That explains the 12 misunderstandings up above.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:55 PM ^
we have not played the game yet. Let's win before making assumptions. A win is a win cause we did not cause the injury, but a lost vs them would be embarrassing. But i do thing Green will make sure he is ready for the Michigan game cause he promised a win and his last game against Michigan.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:59 PM ^
Yeah that should convince his mcl to reattach to his knee
January 31st, 2012 at 9:42 PM ^
Gut feeling. . .he'll dress on Sunday and against his and Izzo's better judgement, try to play. But it won't go well.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:44 PM ^
I don't like this thread, because all the Sparty trolls that frequent these parts will run, cry and exaggerate to make it seem like we are happy about it. I think a better post title would be "MSU loses to Illini on the road" and maybe a note in the actual post about the injury. It just looks and sounds better.
I know we shouldn't alter how we do things because others are immature and stupid, but I think in this case it's just the right thing to do.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
You care that much what they think? What exactly do you have invested in the matter?
January 31st, 2012 at 9:51 PM ^
Give me your male genital cards. Now.
January 31st, 2012 at 9:57 PM ^
The OP presents facts and an opinion about the impact of an injury. But, I don't see how the OP (or the vast majority of responses for that matter) could be classified as even coming close to celebrating an injury.
January 31st, 2012 at 10:12 PM ^
No one is celebrating.
