Stone Levitation Ale.

This^^^ sounds interesting, what is it? and where do I find it? I love trying new drinks, in fact I'm saving the labels to all the beers I have tried and then I will build a bar and incorparate them under a couple layers of lacquer.

Its one of the coolest beers around, IMO. Its an Amber-ish ale. Low ABV (in the 4 1/2 range), so you can have many. You can and will. Very good, not surprising- all Stone beers are great.

Sangria from last night, Commodore Perry from last weekend, and some Jerimiah Weed from the back of the fridge. If I make it through that without megangoblue yelling at me to quit drinking, I have a cheap Sauvignon Blanc that would be nice to try.

Unless you're diabetic or something, there's no excuse to drink DIET mountain dew. Ever.

FWIW, if anyone ever doubts the effect of alcohol on your ability to perform tasks, have a few scotches and try to play Modern Warfare 3. I've been relegated to noob status.

January 20th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
You're among friends. By my math, roughly 30% of this board are either lawyers or law students.
January 20th, 2012 at 9:41 PM ^
Well that percentage will probably fall. I'm thinking about dropping out. Law school is a nightmare.
January 20th, 2012 at 9:58 PM ^
No argument here. My only advice would be to really think it through before you leave. Things get better after the first year.
Oh. Additional advice: drink.
January 20th, 2012 at 10:11 PM ^
I don't mean to freak you out, but instead to give perspective.
I got my bar card this past Nov (same as BISB I imagine), and then a job in practice. And 3 months in, I'm looking back on law school like it was a 3 year extension of undergrad. Practice is a truly miserable experience, at least for me. The stress/stakes are high, and the hours are very long.
I guess my advice is to think more flexibly about the credential and your job opportunities when you finally attain it. And don't let the economy force you into desperation. Those are easy things to say, but not to do. Hell even I couldn't even do it when I knew it was best. Failure to do so will lead to great weariness/heaviness.
I absolutely don't mean to discourage though; quitting = incredible sunk cost/burden. I agree with BISB here. You're committed - now it's time to be creative and figure out a situation you can tolerate.

out of curiosity, if you don't mind answering, how large is the firm you work for?
