From the coach to the players... this team did not show up tonight. You can blame the refs, crowd, coaches, lack of of inside presence we feature on either end of the court.... This team NO SHOWED tonight. i do not expect this to happen again. |

Actually, Farmington Hills Harrison used to be a prison before it was turned into a school. |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | I don't see 17 better players |
I don't see 17 better players than Trey Burke coming out of college or overseas. It's a crime if he doesn't go top ten IMO. The Bucks are a damn good fit for him though. I see him as a Brenndon Jennings type of player in the NBA. |

Marquis Little will be at Rutgers this weekend and Temple soon after, according to BC's Scout Homepage. So i doubt its him. |

I'd take the Krewe or the Brass over the Pelicans. The Pelicans nickname just doesn't fit like the other two. |
| 24 weeks 3 days ago | 11. What is your preference |
11. What is your preference on a B1G Basketball Tourney? (Every team qualifies, or 12 of 14 teams qualify.) I voted for everybody because you can essentially have a border line big ten team that needs one or two wins to sneak into the tournyey. This would give them a better shot since they would most liekly have an easier matchup than with 12 teams. The more B1G teams, the better. |

Not scared to play anybody. This Michigan team is talented and much better now than week 1. We would give the Aggies all they could handle. 4 losses this year to teams that have lost a total of 3 games... To much panic on these boards. |

| 26 weeks 2 days ago | I love when people get |
I love when people get butthurt about being downvoted (note, it wasnt me). But for real... it's the internet. Who cares. I barely post on here but as of late, all these people are whining and bitching like a bunch of kids in a world of warcraft forum. Just Stop It. On a more related note. I had a college coach use similar tactics as Kill. In fact, this particular coach i'm reffering to is still coaching because he win's (not a Michigan coach, the sport was not football either). I'd be corfortable saying that 90% of the athletes on the team do not like this indivdual. He has numerous confrontations with his players and their parents every year. If you were not a starter or a very servicable backup, the chances of you playing all 4-5 years there slim to none. Even the kids that start for him disliked him. The only reason he is still coaching and winning is because he is able to get the absolute BEST out of his starters by playing headgames, manipulation and installing fear in his players. This theory of coaching still works for some people. I see it less with younger coaches these days but it is still happening. I don't blame A.J for wanting out but he went a little over board. This happens a lot more than he thinks.

| 26 weeks 5 days ago | Not to take anything away |
Not to take anything away from are secondary because they have done a tremendous job but lack of quality QB play in the Big Ten is a large reason. Look at these B1G numbers. Passing Yards By Team D1 26. Indiana 40. Penn State 64. Purdue 73. Michigan State 80. Nebraska 96. Iowa 100(Tied). Michigan 100(Tied). Ohio State 102. Minnesota 108. Illinois 112. Wisconsin 114. Northwestern |

I wish for the day when wearing throwback uniforms are cool again.... and not newly designed throwbacks.... no. Go into the storage shed and pull out the 1991 uniforms. No piping or anything like that. Lose the elastic in the sleeves and give them that old school look. |
| 27 weeks 5 days ago | Michigan 78 - Slippery Rock 58 |
Not sure why everybody is saying Slippery Rock is one of the top teams in D2. They are picked to finish second in their division and at least 3rd or fourth in their conference. They aren't receiving votes in the top 25. LINK Aside from that, Michigan rolls by 20. |

| 1 year 6 weeks ago | DETROIT |
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/the_bonus/01/07/detroit/in... The Courage of Detroit - by Mitch Albom. Without a doubt, the greatest article ever written about Michigan and the city of Detroit. Hit's the nail on the head.
A couple great quotes from the article. "It's not that we watch more, or pay more, or cheer louder than other cities. But I will bet you my last dollar that, when it comes to sports, nobody cares as much as Detroit cares." "People in Detroit can still tell you where they were when they heard about that limo smashing into a tree in suburban Birmingham six days after the Cup win of '97, forever changing the lives of Vladimir Konstantinov, Slava Fetisov and Sergei Mnatsakanov. Vigils were held outside the hospital. Remember, these were two hockey players and a masseur, Russians to boot; none of them did much talking in English. Didn't matter. They were ours, and they were wounded. It felt as if there was no other news for weeks in Detroit. "You hear anything?" people would say. "Any updates?"
"Enough. We're not gum on the bottom of America's shoe. We're not grime to be wiped off with a towel. Detroit and Michigan are part of the backbone of this country, the manufacturing spine, the heart of the middle class -- heck, we invented the middle class, we invented the idea that a factory worker can put in 40 hours a week and actually buy a house and send a kid to college. What? You have a problem with that? You think only lawyers and hedge-fund kings deserve to live decently?" "Maybe because when our kids finish college and take that first job in some sexy faraway city and a year later we see them back home and we ask what happened, they say, "I missed my friends and family." And we nod and say we understand." |

| 1 year 12 weeks ago | Alright, well it sounds like |
Alright, well it sounds like the guy im thinking of. Good umpire, however, he was always trying to be a big shot out there. Like he had something to prove every game. If you disagreed with a call, he let you know how he felt. Even if you weren't trying to show him up, it seemed like he felt offended. Had no problem talking garbage right at players. I'll never forget, I was coaching an American Legion ball team and he was throwing a hissy fit behind the plate. He was even jawing with the fans. Both teams and fans were irate. So, my pitcher and catcher got together once there was a man on first and they decided to throw a pitch out, but when the catcher jumped up and over, our pitcher hummed in a fastball right down the middle. Hit him right on the hand. He turned around, swore at me (even though i was unaware this was happening) and walked off the field. He just drove off. The base ump had to suit up to finish the game. Bush league on my players, but the guy had it coming. |
