Did Indiana shoot 80%? Because it sure felt like it.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
January 5th, 2012 at 11:02 PM ^
Same damn thing as the duke game. Whenever they'd get close they'd miss a shot and IU would pull back away
January 5th, 2012 at 11:02 PM ^
Terrible officiating in my entire life. We win if not for getting homered
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
in front of a rowdy Big Ten crowd. These officials have no balls.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
Beilein was going to blow his top, understandably. Burke got mugged with no call. Zeller hasa been shoving people out of the way to get his separation, no calls. Novak got the hip check and they call him for travelling. Unreal.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:02 PM ^
At least the young un's can see why you should hate Indiana. Especially in Bloomington.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
ripping into THJ going into this TO.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
well i have hatred for assembly hall and indiana now, we got SOOOOO DAMN CLOSE AHHHHH,
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
Burke plays his worst game of the year, THJ goes 0-7 from 3, still were in it till the final minute against a (soon to be) top 10 team on the road. Could be worse.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:11 PM ^
if burke or hardaway do anything, they get a good road win. dammit!
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
Bullshit refs and dumb shots by Timmy at the end. Oh and GODDAMN FREE THROWS!
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
THJ.....you may be able to score, but your defense is horrible!
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
Ugh, what a terrible game by THJ. Bad shots, lazy defense. THJ playing like a freshmen in the second half after Burke played like a freshmen in the first half.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Hardaway played far below what he is capable of, but the game isn't this close without him,he makes things happen.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:15 PM ^
Dunno about that. His negatives tonight far outweighed his positives. Love him, but he's good enough to take that criticism. He's not a three point shooter yet took 7 of them tonight. Made none. That's maybe his worst night as a Wolverine. Great dunk to keep it close, but we need smarter plays throughout the game. I trust him to turn it around.
That said, it's an encouraging game. Lot's of unforced turnovers, terrible shots, poor shooting from our star guards and we almost sneak out of Assembly Hall with a B10, top-15 road win.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:38 PM ^
Well he was 7-11 from on two pointers, 5-6 from the foul line, where are those points going to come from on this team? He also had 4 steals and 4 boards, with a couple of those boards coming where he just went up above everybody and went and got it.
One play in particular that illustrates his importance to the team, was the play where he drove underneath the bucket, got his shot blocked, and in a heartbeat was able to recover the ball, jump and lay it in before anyone else could even get off the floor. You can't coach that shit, nobody else on this team can make plays like that.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
In a way, this game should never have been close. In another way, I feel a little hosed by exceptionally cold shooting and some bad calls.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
No doubt at all that those maniacs in Bloomington affected the officials tonight. Almost every close/questionable call went IU's way.
Crisler and the Maize Rage better bring it strong against the Badgers on Sunday. An intimidating crowd is going to be vital in this death march of a conference.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
If you would have told me our MVP of this game was J-Mo ... I'd tell you we lost.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
game over not into moral victories but last year we lost by 20 at assembly hall and each year of Beilen we are getting better. If we play like we did with the grit and intensity we will beat State.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
A bald version of Toby from the Office.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
Love how they show jones shot 3 times but wont show the so called travel on novak
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
take such horrible shots the last few minutes of the game we might have pulled this one out.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
IT AINT OVAH YET!!!
January 5th, 2012 at 11:04 PM ^
Ummmmmmmmmmm
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
LOL now we hit that. Still a chance
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
Holy friggin crap Stuart
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
WAIT JUST ONE SECOND HERE...
(MAY THE POWER OF THE CAPS LOCK BE WITH US)
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
A faster foul on the last play would have been nice.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
NOW we make a three. Sigh.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
CAPS FTW?!?!?!
January 5th, 2012 at 11:05 PM ^
STU Y U NO HIT THAT SHOT LAST TIME?
January 5th, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
I see why Indiana is so tough to beat at home.
With these ref's, I am not sure if Miami Heat could beat Indiana at home...
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
I think it's fair to say that refs are generally crap because games are really difficult to call. Someone's always pissed.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:13 PM ^
I understand the favorable foul calls when a home player is driving towards the basket. That stuff is pretty common and is what gives "home field advantage" in basketball.
This stuff where all deflected ball that goes out of bounds goes to the home team automatically business is not something you see everyday.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:18 PM ^
And you know it went out on our players how?
There was a couple 50/50 ones that went in our favor as well. Why bitch about what may or may not have been questionable calls when our team took what was undeniably far too many terrible shots and made few of those shots.
It's an encouraging game in the end, so long as we improve from it.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:35 PM ^
Ummm.... because I have eyes (and DVR)???
There were several calls where Michigan players did not even touch the ball (the one where Smot smacked the ball off the knee of an Indiana player was especially egregious) and they called it Indiana ball.
I am not questioning "questionable" calls, I am questioning blatant calls.

When Bobby Knight was screaming on the sidelines.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:14 PM ^
And when he stopped screaming, duck!
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
need a turnover right here.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Miracle on the river please....
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Does IU even have a band? Every timeout is just more Jock Jamz playing.
January 6th, 2012 at 12:37 AM ^
maybe they couldn't make their pep band come back if they were still on break
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Hardaway just needs to go 1/7 instead of 0-for and we win, he needs to be our leader
January 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Tim Hardaway Jr 0-7 from three.
He needed to drive much more. He is one of the best slashers in the B1G.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:16 PM ^
Those missed 3's weren't even good looks. He just jacked up a bunch of off-balance shots as soon as the ball hit his hands. Nice teamwork.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:17 PM ^
Too many jacks early in the shot clock and in many cases falling away or with an hand in his face.
