This is last weeks.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:32 PM ^
I think you copied the polls from last week. But yes, Michigan is now #12.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:33 PM ^
repeat the class next hour.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:33 PM ^
The poll that you copied has to be from last week. That's useful, I guess, but are you going to copy the one from this week or link to it?
December 4th, 2011 at 12:33 PM ^
Guess my comp was the slowest. But Bama is still #2 in the coaches poll. Which is stupid.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:46 PM ^
but the computers have such a love for OSU they could still be #2 even if Bama is #2 in the AP.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:52 PM ^
AP is no longer part of the BCS formula. It's now Coaches' and Harris polls.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:34 PM ^
He copied the wrong list, Michigan is 12!
December 4th, 2011 at 12:34 PM ^
One ahead of MSU. Sweet Sweet Sparty tears should be washing in soon.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:36 PM ^
12th? That means we almost HAVE to be in the BCS, right?
December 4th, 2011 at 12:36 PM ^
Lol Clemson blows out Va Tech twice; still ranked behind Va Tech.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:37 PM ^
Isn't this the week where we get to see what each coach actually voted?
December 4th, 2011 at 12:54 PM ^
Dantonio's Ballot:
December 4th, 2011 at 12:39 PM ^
This basically clinches it.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:39 PM ^
Thank You Coaches, Clap Clap ClapClapClap!
December 4th, 2011 at 12:44 PM ^
Wow, that's a big leap! Even MSU is behind us. Coaches really like Michigan.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:44 PM ^
I'm happy we're 1/3 of the way over the hump, but I really don't see how VT, Kansas State or South Carolina deserve to be above us. If people had started with a clean slate, we deserve to be more like nine or ten, IMO.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:47 PM ^
VT I totally agree with you; they have beaten NO currently ranked teams. But Kansas State and South Carolina had several wins over ranked teams. It helps that in the Big 12 getting ranked is as easy as falling off a log.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:03 PM ^
Kansas State played three currently ranked teams, losing two of them by a margin of 110-62 and winning one 36-35. They also had a pretty awful out of conference schedule and didn't play a lot of teams with winning records.
South Carolina played in a terrible SEC East, played two currently ranked teams and went 1-1 (same as us, but we pantsed Nebraska on national TV), they also lost to Auburn at home.
Neither of those schedules scream "world beater" to me. I like our resume against either team.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:53 PM ^
I do not think that bodes very well for Alabama, seeing how much the computers have favored the Big XII.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:08 PM ^
I don't think it's enough, but I also think the Harris Poll is more likely to be influenced by anti-rematch talk.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:54 PM ^
According to the guy who dose collegerpi.com and collegebcs.com, OSU needs to be ahead in the Harris poll by 5 points to get OSU to #2 overall.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:49 PM ^
Wow Baylor only moved up 2 spots.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:52 PM ^
When do we get to see the coaches ballots? I bet Dantonio voted himself over us and maybe Wisconsin. Also, there is going to be someone who voted Oklahoma State fourth just because.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:54 PM ^
Only the last one is released I think. So, after the NCG
December 4th, 2011 at 12:58 PM ^
Tomorrow according to Andy Staples
December 4th, 2011 at 12:52 PM ^
If TCU is 15th in the BCS, they are in right?
December 4th, 2011 at 12:57 PM ^
Have to be at least 14th
December 4th, 2011 at 12:59 PM ^
A non-AQ only needs to be top 16, conference champ, and ahead of a qualifying conference's champ.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:56 PM ^
They will end up a top 10 team maybe top 7-8. Who would have thought that was a possibility at the beginning of the year. It will also set up very nicely next year. I honestly think we might be pre-season top 5 next year (Not that pre-season rankings mean anything)
December 4th, 2011 at 1:05 PM ^
This season has shown that preaseason rankings mean a lot. It is much harder to climb up hill to the high rankings when you are unranked at the beginning of the season. Look at Virginia Tech going into this week. #3 team and losing to the only ranked team they played by 20 at home.
December 4th, 2011 at 12:56 PM ^
What's the best thing about this poll? No Ohio!!
December 4th, 2011 at 1:05 PM ^
Can we take another moment and think about the fact that we're holding our breath about whether or not we get into a BCS bowl? I mean, holy crap. This season is way beyond what I thought was possible coming into September.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:25 PM ^
Pre-season predictions/expectations of 8-4 sees like light years away.
December 4th, 2011 at 3:43 PM ^
This is crazy schit.I know we have growing pains ahead, but God it feels good to have some confidence again.I am Jonsing for the Bowl game already, then finish out recruiting 2012.This is going to be an even longer spring/summer than this past season.Somebody slap me!

I have to think that the anti-rematch rhetoric is going to push OkSU into the MNC game. Of course, they'll go there and be beaten by LSU (just like Alabama probably would), but everyone will instead say that it proves Alabama should have played for the title and how elite the SEC is compared to the rest of the teams in America.
UM should be 12th, so it is nice to see them ahead of a couple of other teams. UM is probably a little overrated, but I definitely think it is one of the top 12-14 outfits in the country.

"Oklahoma State trailed Alabama by 342 points in the Harris poll and 166 in the coaches' poll. With the current computer projections, the Cowboys would have to be the mathematical equivalent of 28 points behind in Harris and 15 back in the coaches' poll."
