I live on the west side of Michigan and no one here has gotten theirs either.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:42 PM ^
you still haven't gotten yours yet?
August 18th, 2011 at 3:27 PM ^
I live in Grand Rapids and I got mine yesterday. Row A. Nice
August 18th, 2011 at 9:50 AM ^
and I live in GR. Though it could be that I'm a freshman.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:23 AM ^
Gotten our tickets already. He's a freshman, but he got his on on Friday (the same day as me).
August 18th, 2011 at 10:33 AM ^
Now I'm nervous.
August 18th, 2011 at 1:07 PM ^
No reason to be nervous. I'm not a freshman and mine haven't arrived to GR yet either. If you're registered for classes and you've ordered the tickets, they'll be there. Doesn't make waiting any easier, though.
August 18th, 2011 at 1:57 PM ^
I got mine today.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:50 AM ^
I think everyone has. you have to be registered for classes to have receieved them. if you aren't, they keep them at the ticket office and you have to bring proof of registration.
Although, I wonder if your took longer because of the distance?
Edit - oops. I stand corrected. Everyone I know has gotten theirs already. Sorry.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:27 PM ^
As a Ph.D. student, we sometimes forget to register for classes until the last day, since our "courses" never fill up. One of my fellow PhD classmates was getting worried because they still hadn't received their tickets.
They have now registered for classes, I'm guessing that they will still receive them in the mail? Does anyone know exactly how that works? Do you just have to be registered by the time they finish mailing the last sets of tickets? Or do you have to go pick them up if you aren't registered at the time that they would have initially mailed them?
August 18th, 2011 at 4:50 PM ^
This has happened to me. I had to go pick them up at the athletic department with proof that I was registered for classes.
Edit: I picked up my tickets today at the ticket office. They said as long as you didn't order a shirt your tickets are available.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:50 AM ^
I was just wondering the same thing about the ticket package I purchased through the Alumni Association. WTF is going on??
August 18th, 2011 at 9:52 AM ^
Nebraska/WMU was sent out Monday, ND/SDSU will be sent out next monday, and OSU I would presume the following week... Just spoke with the Alumni Association.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:55 AM ^
I'm in the WMU/Nebraska group and don't have them yet. They better be in my mailbox when I get home this evening or I'm going to . . . I'm going to . . . wait until tomorrow.
Thanks for calling the AA and updating us all. Much appreciated.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:32 PM ^
I just recieved my WMU/Nebraska tickets yesterday in the mail, so they should be coming soon. I live in Houston, TX.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:04 AM ^
Everyone I have talked to has also received theirs. I'm sure yours are just in the mail.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:07 AM ^
My mailman hordes my mail and delivers everything 2-3 days later than everyone else, so I'll tell you on Monday if you should be worried.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:27 AM ^
Is your mailman Newman?
August 18th, 2011 at 10:14 AM ^
Most people I know have already received their student tickets, but if you don't have anything a week before the season starts, I'd go talk to the ticket office.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:26 AM ^
From AZ, got them Monday.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:27 AM ^
I ALREADY POSTED ABOUT THIS LAST WEEK YA DINGUS.
August 18th, 2011 at 10:39 AM ^
I got mine yesterday and I'm from saginaw so I would imagine yours will show up in a day or 2
August 18th, 2011 at 10:45 AM ^
Got them two days ago. They're huge
August 18th, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
I received mine in SE Michigan two days ago, my mail people are usually really slow for some reason too. A friend of mine in the next city over got his the day before me. Hope it works out for you but I wouldn't be too concerned just yet
August 18th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
i was just checkng the mail get it checking the male
August 18th, 2011 at 10:54 AM ^
My son's student tickets arrive earlier this week (in the Cleveland area). I agree they are huge -- they are the same size as the season tickets, which never was the case before.
We were shut out of Alumni Assn tickets this year, but did get some 4 packs from the Athletic Department. Those arrived earlier than the student tickets -- they arrived during the last week of July while we were on vacation. Thank god no one stole them.
August 18th, 2011 at 11:10 AM ^
On the tickets there something I can't decipher. Either it's a big letter "I" or else it's a Roman Numeral "one". Assume its the latter in recognition of the first ever night game at the Big House. Anyone have insight?
GO BLUE!
August 18th, 2011 at 11:14 AM ^
I live in West Michigan and I JUST got mine today. I think they mail them out in waves, which is why some people I know got them almost a week ago and I didn't get them until today. Add in the fact you're in El Paso and I wouldn't start worrying for another week.
August 18th, 2011 at 11:41 AM ^
and just got them yesterday which is SO GREAT because I am already in AA enjoying welcome month ....
I cannot wait to actually have them in my hands
August 18th, 2011 at 11:49 AM ^
I'm a senior in high school and hopefully I'll be at Michigan next year. How much do student tickets cost?
August 18th, 2011 at 12:00 PM ^
Last year they were 200 but we only had 7 home games and we didn't have ND, OSU, or Nebraska. I'd say they will be around 240 or 250 for next year. Whatever the price is, it is worth it.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:00 PM ^
get you in. You have to be registered and prove it before you receive them. If you drop a class and you fall below 6 credits, your tickets will be "turned off".
You must maintain your class load to keep your tickets.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:00 PM ^
You need to be a student to buy the student season tickets, otherwise you can probably find some tickets from current students for a reasonable price. However, you will have to pay extra for a validation sticker.

August 18th, 2011 at 12:06 PM ^
Isn’t there a new person in charge of the ticket office this year? Do they get? Will their system work here? is he a Michigan Man?
August 18th, 2011 at 12:25 PM ^
The associate AD of ticketing is now Steve Lambright. It used to be Marty Bodnar. Not sure about either of their lineages. I realize you're being sarcastic, but if you want to check, just use linkedin.
August 18th, 2011 at 1:21 PM ^
And they have a vm that says they are still working on season tickets (student and regular). Should all be done by Monday. So I would guess that's when they should be mailed out. Also, Monday they should be ready for pick up if you did will call.
August 18th, 2011 at 2:00 PM ^
I live in the Upper Peninsula and I just got mine today.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
You have post offices there?!
August 18th, 2011 at 4:51 PM ^
I picked up my tickets at the ticket office. They said as long as you didn't order a t shirt you should be able to pick them up at the ticket office. They have not printed the packages with t shirts yet.
August 18th, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
Dunno if anyone will see this, but have any upperclassmen gotten terrible seats?
My girlfriend and her seating group got seats meant for freshmen because she had a co-op/internship during fall semester last year, and apparently some office screwed it up to say she was a freshman because of the time off. She has around 90 credits but they said she had only about 15. There is no way to reverse it, and I've heard this problem a few times.
Is there any recourse at all? People have said you can write a strongly worded letter to get better seats next year, but everyone in her seating group will have graduated, so that's useless. All I can say is, I love this school and football, but sometimes the system fucks up beyond all recognition without any chance to fix it. Maybe there's some way they could get better seats outside the student section that haven't been sold for individual games yet? I don't know. Fuck it, they aren't even my seats and I'm getting livid
August 18th, 2011 at 5:45 PM ^
Yep, I have a crap ton of credits and seniority and I got jacked. I am in row effing 96. Oh well, I am just going to sit by my friends who have much better seats in row 13 of sec 31. You are right there is nothing we can do about it right now. Since this is my last year of student tickets, I am beyond peeved.
