Which players that are not currently receiving any hype that you are most excited to see?

For me on offense I am most excited to see the progression of Ty Isacc, If he has improved on his spring performance I think he can over take Smith and may be our next 1000 yd back!

On defense I have to go with Dymonte Thomas, he brings more athleticism and speed to the free safety position than we had last year, and if he is able to be as dependable as J. Wilson was last year, he could be all conference!

I've got to agree with posters and say Thomas, I am expecting him to lead the team in interceptions. I think he steals a lot of press and turns into a 2nd round pick.

...last night that Ty Isaac busted off a 90+ yard run for a touchdown. Really wierd, because I don't to often have dreams about Michigan football. I conclude that the fact this thread and my dream coincided means that Mr. Isaac is going to be a breakout player this season.

Until just a couple of weeks ago, at best, we hadn't heard anything about Chris Evans.  But I'll put money on him returning kicks and punts, and being the 'every play' Peppers on offense.  Don't think we'll see Jabrill on offense too much until the second half, because of Evans.

Truely un-hyped contributor?  I'm going with Josh Metellus...  There was a thread a while back about which freshmen would see the field this year.  My input was Metellus, because safety depth beyond this season is a big, gaping, festering, open wound.  While he may not be totally ready to play a lot this year, I can see him getting some valuable cleanup time for experience.  I think he's the next Jarrod Wilson - boring, forgettable, invisible, and shut the door solid.

There are far more offensive options than in recent years. I see less of Peppers on offense as well. The defense will be amazing with his speed and quickness at the line backing spot. He can impact games with such a superior defensive line in from of him. Evans, McDoom, and Johnson, will add a speed component that increases to then level of athleticism needed for superior competition and depth.

I see the same if not more of peppers on offense, at least against Wisc, PSU, Iowa, MSU and OSU. One year left with a special player. Gotta go for broke.

Of course if the o line takes a leap and the qb position is seamless from where Rudock left off, the conventional offense may not need to go exotic as much.

Was supposedly an immovable beast before the injury last year. With all the big names on the d-line receiving hype an praise, I think he can be an under the radar big time contributor. Our goal line defense could be a wall!

Drake Harris, Wheatley, Stribling, and as far as Freshmen go I'd love to see Evans and Hudson on the field this year. IMO Hudson reminds me of a poor mans Jabrill, and that's saying something.

Yep, with you on Newsome, it seems like a lot of people are expecting him to flop or already looking for his replacement.  Hope he can surprise the doubters.

On defense, Mo Hurst is almost the forgotten man on that line, even though some are projecting him as a high draft pick.  Also, hopefully Devin Bush is all we've dreamed and more.

I can't wait to see McDoom after hearing a couple of tidbits from practices. Sounds like he has some serious jets and playmaking ability.

TJ Wheatley and Ty Isaac for sure. Really want to see if Ty can be what we all think he can be, really excited for him and our RB future. TJ Wheatley got some spring hype but haven't heard much since. Really want to see what he can be with his size and athleticism.
