There was a THE KNOWLEDGE (with no underscore).  At some point he was banned - I think it was around the time of the 2007 coaching search.  I recall Brian explaining the banning, saying that as the site was gaining visibility, he didn't want people thinking that THE KNOWLEDGE was an actual staff member making predictions.   

 (That said, it was rumored that THE KNOWLEDGE was actually Brian himself, messing around under the guise of anonymity.)

THE KNOWLEDGE was/is, bar none, the best poster on this site, with the possible 1 time exception for chunks the hobo's masterpiece expose on Dave Brandon urinating on him in a trenchcoat before the proles knew him as capable of such feats.  Besides Brian's analysis, which has changed a great deal over the years since '05/'06, and the expanded authorship (not all would say for the better), THE KNOWLEDGE has been the singular tie holding the commetariat together since the haloscan days.  Indeed, I feel as if the good ol' days had a much, much higher originiality or humor element/post vs nowadays, where the flood of comments on each post are basically not worth wading through to find the few gems here and there.  Each and every post in 2006 is worth revisiting, if only to dig out the treasures haloscan holds, and I cherish them, along with the time I called Les Miles impersonating Russell Shephard, and told him I was decommitting because my girl and I weren't solid (she a SA at LSU at the time).

THE KNOWLEDGE has seen the future, and knows if he tells us what he knows the world will end in fire as Mark Dantonio breaths firey death upon us all.  because of this THE KNOWLEDGE has then a self imposed vacation to Bolivia.
