It does indeed seem crass, but if you were a staff attorney at Michigan or any school you’d be remiss not to council the administration to have some waiver drafted and then make workouts voluntary.
I just read the UM’s annual budget is over $1 billion. Very deep pockets and with an ultimate responsibility to educating students, means putting that capital at risk is negligent to the university’s mission.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this type of waiver becomes common practice and participation is made completely voluntary and a player can’t lose his scholarship if he chooses not to sign.
This isn’t a comment about the OP as it would be nice to be in Costa Rica for the holidays but I do get a chuckle as some of these posts can be not so subtle humble brags. You know the “I’ll be in Zurich for the holidays and the the villa we’ve just bought isn’t wired with WiFi as it’s an historic landmark and feel so unlucky I’ll miss the bowl” type of post.
Thank you for this reviewer. My family is going next week and my son and I wanted nothing to do with it but if it enjoyable for non groupies I feel better now
I think it’s a blow out. Team is finally hitting its stride and I’m sure enjoys the high of winning big and doesn’t want to return to that hollow postgame feeling of underperforming in a close win or loss.
I saw the recent ESPN piece on Tony and he came across as completely honest and transparent. Told the whole dark truth and is now a somewhat accomplished photographer.
i felt for and liked the guy.
I am not defending MSU at ALL but I’m sympathetic to Tony.

Hey they could have folded. Made adjustments and outplayed in the second half. Most importantly show heart and grit. The drop in the end zone was a punch in the gut
great points. For imperfect but beautiful football with all the fun and excitement of non pro sports the D III semifinals are live streaming today @ http://www.espn.com/watch/

Also, I would think Villanova has a better academic reputation. That makes them the 3rd best college in the final four. Not sure that's helping make his point.
Open lines of communication are the key. Let the player know where he stands during the process. Let them know they need to improve in areas. Let them know that it would be wise to continue with other official visits. Let them know with ample time that it would be wise to approach other opportunities. If the lines of communication are open for the entire recruitment process it's all you can aspect. In fact it's called life.

Follow up. We went. Like the original movie or two. This stunk. Nothing to do with the series. Just a bad movie

Why so cynical? Justin Fields's "tutor" started taking his online classes for him just last week!
Fields got offered by Northwestern

This is funny. I chuckled. Hyperbolic and sarcastic
Gutsy

He’s coaching scared. No joy. Not fearless. Players pick that up and mimic it even if subconsciously
I almost pooped in my cooler
A real bright spot
Mount Union beat John Hopkins to go to the championship for the 21 time in 25 years. Impressive to say the least

Good call
When I was a kid I ran into Mean Joe Greene in the tunnel at Three Rivers, gave him my Coke and he gave me his jersy. He wasn't mean at all....
