What happened to Andy Moeller?

Anyone know what happened to Moeller after he got dropped from the Browns a few years ago? I googled and can't find anything. I hope he got his life together.

I know you're joking, but I've wondered about the 1976 election.

Back in 1976, Ohio didn't vote for "the candidate from That School Up North."  The margin of victory for Carter in Ohio was not much - only 0.27%.

You honestly wonder how many Buckeye fans didn't vote for Ford simply because of his Wolverine ties.  I mean, the number likely isn't zero.  People cast their ballot for all kinds of crazy and irrational reasons.  This was right when U-M/OSU was at peak intensity.

Even if Ohio did go for Ford in 1976, Carter would have still won.  But it would have been significantly closer on the Electoral College (272-265 instead of 297-240).

To be fair, there were probably a goodly number of people who voted for him specifically because of his ties to Michigan athletics.  (Even some in Ohio).

Their specific policies aside, I respect any politician who roots openly for a favorite team in a race where there could be backlash (e.g., being a Mets fan in New York; being a Texas fan in a national race; etc.  Being a Nebraska fan when running in Nebraska... not so much. :)

That is true.

Now that I think about it though, I missed an example that might have actually happened.  The 2000 election was decided by Florida, which was itself decided by ~ 580 votes.

But Al Gore was from Tennessee and a Volunteer fan!  He hosted the National Championship Tennessee team at the White House just 2 years prior.

So, if there were a mere 300 Florida residents (Gator fans or otherwise - remember they beat Florida State in that title game!) who said "Well, I like Gore, but I can't vote for anyone associated with the Orange and White.  Thus I'm voting Bush" --- that literally flipped the election!  And arguably changed American history.

Well, if the Internet is to be believed, very little of note has happened in Andy Moeller's life since he was accused of assaulting a woman in his home, which precipitated his departure from the Browns in 2015.

He went apeshit at a restaurant in Detroit some years back. Lost his job, Killed 5 hookers, and started eating field turf. Nowadays he keeps to himself in a cabin in Montana. Stays busy by writing letters, manifestos, and mailing packages. Apparently he was in Ann Arbor between stops in a Colorado jail and a sorority house in Tallahassee. Damn near got elected president but Ohio State fans wouldn’t vote for him. His cell phone reception on the sailboat sucked, causing him to miss an important call.

More importantly, what have you been up to?

Inspired by the OP, I'm starting a new thread ranking my level of interest in learning what happened to various people.  Still a work in progress, but Andy Moeller currently is #743 on that list.
