There are a lot of people here.  Many have different preferences.  People who use "Urbz" may not be my cup of tea but they aren't hurting anyone.  I think it's better to let people have their own preferences.  Live and let live, etc...

No he did not. Not like this at least. Besides, while that "Ohio" thing and not wearing the color red stuff was corny, Hoke seemed to really mean it. Urban is playing to the crowd. I mean, he even stated publicly that Michigan was one of only a few schools he would come back to coach for. Can you imagine Hoke saying that? Oh yeah, and Buckeye fans made fun of Hoke constantly for it.

In Hoke's defense, he would not wear red when he was at Ball State.  And that was their primary color.

He had no idea at the time that he would ever be the coach at Michigan.  He was just going with his true feelings . . . he did not want to wear anything representing Ohio State.

Meyer on the other hand is just playing to the locals with his schtick.  He had a buyout escape clause in his Florida contract for Michigan, Notre Dame, or Ohio State.  Two of those teams are blue.

Had he gone to Michigan or ND he would have just as easily pandered to those fan bases.

I said it when Hoke talked about it and I will say it again now. This is common across the country.

At NU you can't wear orange anywhere at the athletic facilities. It's been that way for decades.

I never got the whole color things; Hoke with his "I won't wear red" thing was equally weird.  Plus, doesn't OSU not use the letter "M" sometimes because of course that'll show UM how passionate you are as a fanbase and certainly not a bunch of mouth-breathers when you won't spell words correctly.
