Today's Schedule of Games
GO CATS!!
But if a Northwestern victory can't be in the cards, then I want absolute CHAOS:
Alabama loses in OT on a bad call . . . OU and OSU win with style . . . UCF wins by 100 . . . then let them all rip each other's eyes out for that last slot and blow the whole F-ing thing up.
The committee and the media show their SEC bias and pick Alabama. Of the five P5 conferences, only two are represented in the entire College Football Playoff.
Thermonuclear chaos ensues. We use the warmth of the afterglow to heat our popcorn as we watch the carnage. Jim Delaney bites the head off a live committee member on national TV.

Bright point of the day!

And probably the only thing I'll be watching.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:03 AM ^
Text exchange with my girlfriend:
Gf: what time is the UM football game on Saturday?
Me: no Michigan game :'( but there are couple other games I want to catch
Gf: what time? Can we do something that's actually fun at some point?
Me: sure, what did you have in mind?
Gf: idk
Me: well, I'm down for anything you like
Gf: can you find us a new restaurant to try?
And this, friends, is how I am going to miss the B1G Championship Game
December 1st, 2018 at 10:11 AM ^
Sounds good to me.
Take her somewhere nice. You can ignore the fact that Ohio State is playing Northwestern for the Big Ten title in peace.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:20 AM ^
If OU, UCF, Georgia all lose, I may have to tune in. I still think we wouldn't get in though with all of that plus OSU loss. Probably Georgia still gets in ahead of us unless they get completely embarrassed.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:34 AM ^
We are not getting in.
As it should be.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:25 AM ^
I have to work... but wearing my blue shirt and maize tie!
GO BLUE!!
December 1st, 2018 at 11:22 AM ^
A tie on a Saturday? Blah...
December 1st, 2018 at 7:40 AM ^
Go team chaos!
December 1st, 2018 at 8:03 AM ^
!!! YES!!! The next best thing to all hell breaking loose and Michigan miraculously ending up in the playoff is for OSU to win big and get in...and Michigan's consolation prize is the Rose Bowl.
I know many of the pathological partisans are in contemplation at the edge of the cliff but if Michigan ends up 11-2, with the losses being to teams who made the final four...the season has to be considered better than simply "good".
December 1st, 2018 at 8:05 AM ^
Hope OSU loses after 30 overtimes
December 1st, 2018 at 8:30 AM ^
You need to expand your perspective. When I have my fandom hat on I am Michigan#1 and B1G#2. So you want the B1G to be represented by Northwestern in the Rose Bowl??? Oh MY!!! Plus, that knocks Michigan on further down the post-season list.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:42 AM ^
The day I cheer the bucknuts is the day I burn my M gear
December 1st, 2018 at 9:17 AM ^
I am on an education mission this morning...and it continues:
Well, then that simply makes you one of "them". I root for Michigan because I believe the university at large rises above such silly provincialism. You guys can neg away to your little hearts content on this...but here, you are in the wrong.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:43 AM ^
You're 'educating" us to be the same kind of fan that you are, because any other way is obviously wrong.
OK, I guess we all need your instructions.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:58 AM ^
Oh dear. So sensitive...no sense of humor.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:56 AM ^
Consider it an investment.
If OSU makes the playoff and loses like they did last time, the Big Ten will never get invited again.
If OSU makes the playoff and wins, we'll never be able to recruit against them again.
There is just no good that can come of it.
Fuck it. We'll play in a New Years Day bowl game no matter what anyway.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:10 AM ^
Just gotta root for Oklahoma.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:31 AM ^
I don't see any scenario that Northwestern ends up in the Rose Bowl. If OSU gets left out of CFP, they get the Rose Bowl. If OSU goes to the CFP Michigan goes to the Rose Bowl. (Rose Bowl takes best B1G team (or second best if best team goes to CFP) We are the second best, NOT an 8-4 NU.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:12 AM ^
Rules are the Big Ten Champ goes to the Rose Bowl though...
December 1st, 2018 at 11:15 AM ^
If Northwestern wins the BCG, they are in the Rose. The Rose takes the B1G champ unless they are invited to the CFP, or if the Rose is hosting a Semi.
December 1st, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
There is a very obvious way that Northwestern gets in. They beat OSU.
If they win tonight, they go to Pasadena. No questions asked. They could be 6-6, win tonight, and still go. The winner of the Big Ten automatically goes to the Rose Bowl unless the Big Ten champion goes to the playoff, or unless the Rose Bowl is a semifinal site and the Big Ten doesn’t make the playoff, like last year. OSU won the conference, but the Rose Bowl was a semifinal site and they didn’t make the playoff, so they got the Cotton Bowl.
December 1st, 2018 at 7:44 AM ^
Drake at Iowa St. Gonna be a good show....
December 1st, 2018 at 7:45 AM ^
Here's a fancy schmancy schedule link with some nice aesthetically pleasing graphics:
December 1st, 2018 at 7:59 AM ^
I'm very confused as to why there are so many regular season games today. Especially for P5 teams like Stanford, Cal, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina. Their own conferences championship games are today (or yesterday for the Pac 12). What if one of them had made it? What if Stanford-Cal was a big game for deciding who goes to the Pac 12 championship? What am I missing
December 1st, 2018 at 8:01 AM ^
I think the Stanford-California was moved here because of the wildfires. Neither were going to be playing in the Pac-12 Championship game when they did it. Lots of postponed games for weather and disaster problems this year.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:50 AM ^
Hurricane for South Carolina and East Carolina.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:22 AM ^
I'd prefer a hurricane for Tuscaloosa and Clemson. Or better yet, twin meteor strikes.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:04 AM ^
Hoping for #chaos #dayoftheunderdogs
December 1st, 2018 at 8:28 AM ^
theres usually one big chaos week per year, and I can’t really remember one yet this season. Am I misremembering? Maybe this is that week?
December 1st, 2018 at 8:47 AM ^
Got the ball rolling last weekend. Maybe it continues today.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:45 AM ^
Thanks again for posting this each week. Right now I just don’t have the will or stomach to watch any football. I’m excited for M basketball but even as good as that team looks, it’s like getting a new puppy, one day after your dog died.
Still, Go Blue. Always.

Two words:
Iggy Brazdeikis.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:50 AM ^
Disappointing though last Saturday was, I suppose I never understood fans - at least if they are true students of the sport as a fan should be - who did the whole "I refuse to watch...." thing, whether it be until a bowl game or, in some extreme cases, ever again (narrator: they'll watch again). You really just have to compartmentalize it and move forward lest perspective gets lost and your attitude towards things more important becomes comparably odd.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:23 AM ^
December 1st, 2018 at 11:27 AM ^
I don't refuse to watch, like others have said. I just have less than enough interest to actively tune in. Apathy is my word for the day...
December 1st, 2018 at 10:06 AM ^
I'm somewhat checked out of college football. I'm only hoping NW can be competitive and the lazy, stoned bear OSU is back.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:19 AM ^
Ohio State's default mode seems to be "off".
They have supreme 5-star talent that just can't be bothered with playing Maryland and Purdue.
They got geeked out of their minds for their big rival and steamrolled. Now that is over.
Ohio State will already know how Oklahoma did before they even play. If Oklahoma impresses and it looks like it's clear that the committee will put Oklahoma in regardless of what Ohio State does, I expect the OSU switch to stay "off".
Without anything to play for that wakes up the sleeping 5-stars, they will mail it in. They may even lose.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:54 AM ^
Scheme beats talent. Had nothing to do with getting up to play us.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:19 AM ^
B10 game will be hard to stomach. Announcers will be saying how much adversity Urban has overcome etc...& showing clips on how he humiliated Harbaugh / Michigan.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:23 AM ^
Agreed.
Let's all just go have dinner with PopeLando and his girlfriend.
Where we going, PL?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:15 AM ^
Hey, I'm in. I'll round up the MGoWife. You guys cool with Canadian/Lithuanian food? I hear there's a proprietor by the name of Iggy with good new restaurant with such fare. How does 7:30 work for everyone??
December 1st, 2018 at 11:30 AM ^
I'd be all in and would ask for a place halfway between Ann Arbor and Washington DC, but that place is somewhere in Pennsylvania. Fuck Pennsylvania... You guys enjoy - drink a toast to PL's GF for me!
December 1st, 2018 at 11:52 AM ^
I heard that Iggy is gong to eat at 3:30.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:31 AM ^
"Jim Delaney bites the head off a live committee member on national TV."
You know, I'd say there's no way Delaney would ever show a spine on national TV, but OSU is involved. So, of course, he'd be bitching to anyone that would fake listening...
December 1st, 2018 at 11:54 AM ^
It will be quite the spectacle.
Fox will interrupt it with 6 commercial breaks.
