Does anyone around here really know more about him that they'd like to share? He is one of those weird recruits that, based on his list of offers, seems like he is ranked too low. But not a LOT too low, either, which is what makes me wonder about his floor/ceiling, etc...

Face good competition and from what I recall didn't do a lot of camps so ratings are possibly too low. I recall one of our more knowledgeable contributors being impressed with McKeons athleticism even though he didn't get many opportunities to show it in a run heavy HS offense

Look, nobody is infallible... including coaches. Yet, I'm much more inclined to trust their judgment than some recruiting analyst on the internet who may never have played or coached the game at a high, or any, level.

I understand that winning comes with talent on the field, yet the hysteria over a 5-star committment or the moaning after a highly rated recruit decides to go elsewhere escapes me. Some pan out; others no so much.

Heard anything from Brionte Dunn lately? When he decided to attend OSU, some on this board should have been placed on suicide watch.

I'm happy to see that this young man has formalized his decision to attend Michigan. I welcome him with open arms and wish him every success on and off the field in Ann Arbor.

He looks like a very athletic kid. Also plays basketball. Seems to favor playing jumpball to get catches where his opposing DB's can't. One other thing that jumps out on film that I have noticed with many other Harbaugh recruits: he appears to have a mean streak. He is a nasty blocker. Likes to put opponents on the ground. Check out the film if you haven't already. GO BLUE!

This is a very interesting choice for EE based on rank.  Jim must see something (or lack of something in non Butt TEs), rather than extend an EE to areas on paper that seem higher need like a 2nd LB.

Also rumor mill is Wheatley has put on a good amount of weight and is now working with OL.... so that is 1 less TE if accurate.

he is going blue seems kinda like he might. Or he is impressed with Charles 18 years in the league. I know I am amaized. Its a young mans game or if you are 30 and older you must be in the best shape of your life. Then you use your head and your physical ability together to make up for the step you may or may not have lost the past 8 to 10 years.

signed and I have no idea why we would not be loaded with nothing but 5 star tight ends the way they are used in this offense. Oh yeah way to go Sean you won't regret this. Scoring TD's sounds like fun.

I have noticed that most of they guys that Harbaugh recruits that are not as highly rated typically have offers from Ivy League Schools. McKean has 3 Ivy League offers and a handful of other high academic schools.  Harbaugh definitely has a method with what he is looking for in a recruit.  No doubt, Sean will have no problems on the academic side!

When he committed and his measurables were posted I compared them to results from the combine, and he actually compared favorably to the top tight ends.

There are three possible explanations but obviously the correct one is we got an underrated superstar and the services are all stupid.

If Nauta and Crawford end up committing, that offense is going to be unstoppable. I mean it probably will be already but holy crap.
