So I guess Harvin was worth the $13M for 1 game
Very Desmond-esque

February 2nd, 2014 at 8:33 PM ^
who would be the MVP?
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:35 PM ^
Probably Harvin at this point... or just pick any one of 22 starters for Seattle.
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:44 PM ^
Kam Chancellor would be my pick but it's mostly as team defense representative.

Who gets the MVP for Seattle?

They'll give it to Harvin and he deserves it both for his contributions in this game and his fortitude over the season.

The Seahawks were just that much better. The 49ers are the only team that even belong near the same class as them.
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:43 PM ^
all were better all around teams than Seattle.
Seattle is a very good team, but these other teams could dominate on BOTH sides of the ball.
February 2nd, 2014 at 9:22 PM ^
You are watching the Seahawks beat the highest scoring offense of all-time 36-0 as I write this and you don't think that's dominant? I'm not sure what to say to that. Seattle doesn't need to score 30 points a game when they are this good on special teams and D. Seattle's offense although its beleguered has been top ten all year long according to football outsiders FEI ratings.
I should mention though I wasn't talking about the Seahawks in terms of all time teams. I was merely stating that this year they were in a class by themselves.

Who dat to?
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:36 PM ^
When Fox went for it on 4th, I was with him, but man looking back that was huge. The points would have done wonders for morale. Oh well, there's always neck year.... if the doctors allow him back.
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:37 PM ^
You realize you said neck year not next year? ;)
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:39 PM ^
Yeah it was intentional ;)

So in Super Bowl XXIV, 1/28/90, Denver lost 55-10 to SF. In Super Bowl XXII, 1/31/88, they lost 42-10 to Washington.

If only Woodson played for the Seattle defense - would be fitting.

Denver realizes there is a football game today, right? I thought the worst ass-kicking I'd seen in a Super Bowl was SF over SD back in the 90s; this is going to be significantly worse.
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:44 PM ^
So I guess you missed the blowouts Denver suffered before then.
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:47 PM ^
I forgot about the 1990 game between SF and Denver. And maybe the score looked worse with other games, but I remember sitting at home and thinking that SF could have scored 60 if they had wanted to.
February 2nd, 2014 at 8:42 PM ^
That was probably offensive PI.
