Some Evidence 3-Star LB Aaron Alexander Won't Sign With M
Let's start with the idea that there's some dot-connecting going on, but the absence of Alexander from a 'class drawing' has Brandon Brown speculating he's not in the class.
Also, it seems the Belleville coach is pissed off, though it's not clear if that's about Michigan.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:12 PM ^
Update: Allen Trieu and others have confirmed Alexander won’t be a part of Michigan’s class.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:53 PM ^
I don’t see anything on Trieu’s Twitter saying that. Where did you hear that?
December 15th, 2021 at 11:30 PM ^
when he started to post that there weren't any other tweets on the subject
December 15th, 2021 at 6:03 PM ^
Not again....
December 15th, 2021 at 6:08 PM ^
Hopefully these things are not connected, but the idea of Michigan starting another war with Belleville is such a downer.
Edit: Just wanted to hijack my own response here and add an update: Maybe the Belleville coach is upset about something else, but Allen Trieu just confirmed the kid won’t be a part of Michigan’s class. So this isn't a 'waiting on the LOI for the graphic' issue, anymore.
December 16th, 2021 at 10:44 AM ^
Looks like Rowser hasn't signed with Arkansas yet so that could be the issue. If it is us, Belleville doesn't look like they have any top recruits over the next few years so if this one coach hates us, oh well.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:20 PM ^
The next time a player from Bellville does anything, will be the first time.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:23 PM ^
Feels like the only Michigan HS kids that end up being great don’t play for UM.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:29 PM ^
Wow, this is dumber than anything Brandon Brown has ever posted.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:31 PM ^
Aiden Hutchinson would like a word with you
December 15th, 2021 at 6:35 PM ^
Aidan also!
December 15th, 2021 at 6:31 PM ^
The Heisman runner-up says hi.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:36 PM ^
@CincyBlue - true, that Aidan Hutchinson guy from Michigan was a total bust.
edit - I see I was slow on the trigger with my Aidan reply! Feel free to neg. Jourdan Lewis and Donovan Edwards could be added to this list, as well as a LONG list of solid Michigan HS guys.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:42 PM ^
No negs for you - you spelled his name correctly! The first guy didn't, and doesn't deserve the upvotes he got because of it...
December 15th, 2021 at 6:47 PM ^
We could be here all day listing guys from Michigan High Schools that have had successful careers at UfM and in the NFL.
Certainly more at UofM than any other university.
December 15th, 2021 at 7:48 PM ^
So no one remembers BIG MIKE? The best lineman in the NFL rated at his position??? Mike Onwenu would like a word with the bright fella that is clueless about Michigan having talented players from our state excelling.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:41 PM ^
Holy fuck this was a dumb take
December 15th, 2021 at 6:41 PM ^
Our head coach would like a word with you
December 15th, 2021 at 6:45 PM ^
Northville All-American kicker Jake Moody says hi.
December 15th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
All these posts say my take sucks and you named two players…I just looked through all of our classes since 2010 on scout and stand by my statement. Too many highly rated kids from Michigan and don’t do much.
December 15th, 2021 at 7:24 PM ^
Don’t double down on this shitty take bud.
December 15th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
I don't think that was a player problem in most of those instances
And two of our three best freshmen are from Michigan. Also Ryan Hayes, Jalen Mayfield, Mazi Smith, Josh Ross, Vincent Gray, DPJ, Ambry Thomas. This is just the last 5 years. And there have to be more I'm forgetting.
We don't sign that many guys from Michigan anymore, which means that at least half of the ones we get are starters. LOL man drop it.
December 15th, 2021 at 8:33 PM ^
Might have been more forgiving if I specified a timeline…Rich Rod & Hoke staffs took a lot of 4 star guys from the state of Michigan that did not contribute meaningful football. Maybe I’m jaded because two of them were QB’s that were supposed to be great…but I never though Terry Richardson was ever going to be good.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:57 PM ^
I've been there, I've had some terrible takes in my day. Nothing to be ashamed of.
December 16th, 2021 at 1:41 AM ^
Couldn't agree more EYB. But let's enjoy the team we put together and our coaches and enjoy success. Let's not become complainers when times are good.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:59 PM ^
Keep moving the goalposts. It's a good use of your time.
December 16th, 2021 at 5:52 AM ^
Specified timeline?
dude you said “Feels like the only Michigan HS kids that end up being great don’t play for UM.”
Then you try to say “no I meant during RR/Hoke” to cover your ass on a shit take. But you LITERALLY said you looked at our recruiting classes since 2010 to support your statement.
Just take the L. It’s a horrendous take that you keep defending and moving the goalposts on.

Mark Ingram says hi

December 15th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
You really are dumb aren’t you?
Brandam Graham, Jake Long, Lamar Woodley, Ben Braden, DPJ, Devin Funchess, Thomas Rawls, David Harris just to name a few.
December 15th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
Hey HillBilly,
I clarified Dick Rod & Hoke era.
signed,
Sugar Shane, NORFLEET, and Terry Richardson
December 15th, 2021 at 8:43 PM ^
Throw in Devin Funchess too.
however, that was a fun weekend of commits.
December 15th, 2021 at 8:49 PM ^
Devin Funchess probably feels ashamed that his 5 season NFL career didn't live up to your expectations.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:26 PM ^
Brandon Graham played for RichRod.
December 15th, 2021 at 8:47 PM ^
You became specific AFTER everyone pointed out you folly. Just quit drinking and go to bed.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
Dick Rod?
Pretty obvious you are just a meatball.
December 15th, 2021 at 9:08 PM ^
Moving the goal posts? That wasn't your original argument.
December 15th, 2021 at 10:14 PM ^
Braylon, Jourdan Lewis, Mike Onwenu, Lamar Woodley all would like a word with Cincy…
December 15th, 2021 at 11:24 PM ^
@cincy
epic fail bruh
December 16th, 2021 at 8:11 AM ^
Of all the bad takes I’ve read here, this is definitely in the top five.
December 16th, 2021 at 4:37 AM ^
Like Ian Gold who played at Belleville, on the UM '97 team, 1st team All B1G in '99, eights years in the NFL, pro-bowler...
December 15th, 2021 at 6:03 PM ^
Recruiting is a dirty business
December 15th, 2021 at 6:04 PM ^
So non-commitable offers are upsetting him now? Michigan didn't pioneer that strategy. Jermain Crowell is one sensitive dude.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:06 PM ^
Accepting a commitment and pulling it on NSD is not really a traditional non-comittable offer.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:11 PM ^
Well that post is 3 days old, so if if that's what's going on it happened atleast 3-4 days before NSD
December 15th, 2021 at 6:11 PM ^
To be fair, his tweet is 3 days old so they didn’t exactly pull it on NSD.
On one hand, I get it. He’s going to protect his players. On the other hand, he seems like a bit of a drama queen when he knows damn well how the business works.
December 15th, 2021 at 6:15 PM ^
If it happened, not a great look at all, but NSD is still 2 months away unless he was going to early enroll
December 15th, 2021 at 7:20 PM ^
December 15th, 2021 at 6:12 PM ^
He could be protecting his student who might have miscommunicated too
