But seriously though, who is Plan B?
Miles says "no" strangely, Mullen says no contact, no smoke around Mora, etc. Meanwhile, Kawakami is adamant that Harbaugh is an NFL guy. So who is our Plan B? Is anyone else hoping that we at least get rejections from Patterson and Stoops to indicate that we at least TRIED? If Harbaugh ends up not being the coach, who do we end up with?
And if it's Schiano I QUIT LIFE.

As we found out with yesterday's smokescreen, it's Less Miles.
December 16th, 2014 at 11:02 PM ^
Yep. You know he is.

He already said we are getting less Miles, but for plan B I would take Les Miles FWIW.
December 16th, 2014 at 10:37 PM ^
Won't be Patterson, as he just signed an extension. Still gotta believe that Miles is plan B.

but why did Rich Rod leave West Virginia? Why did Beilema leave Wisconsin?
December 16th, 2014 at 11:02 PM ^
RichRod left WV because lets face it, UM >>>> WV. Bielema left Wisky because Alvarez is not easy to get along with and doesn't pay assisstants well.
December 16th, 2014 at 11:33 PM ^
Can we tone down the arrogance a bit please?
RR did not come simply because "UM >>>> WV"
There were significant push factors.
December 17th, 2014 at 12:14 AM ^
RR left WVU is because he and the AD didn't get along.
December 17th, 2014 at 12:31 AM ^
RR rejected overtures from Alabama the year before he took the Michigan job.
December 17th, 2014 at 8:04 AM ^
So in other words, Alabama <<<< Michigan
December 17th, 2014 at 2:52 PM ^
According to Phork, yes.

RR - Because it is WV, which is not a destination job, at least not in this era, and BB - Because Barry Alvarez is both the AD AND Head Coach. No doubt he watches game film with the assistant coaches and probably calls a few plays!

Why would Patterson or Briles go anywhere? Because 11-1 and a co-championship gets them a seat in front of the TV for the playoffs. Stoops would leave because he may be feeling a tad underappreciated at OK.
December 17th, 2014 at 10:40 AM ^
sense of any argument I've seen on Patterson or Briles. It's tough as heck to go 11-1 and not get an invite. That has to eat at them like crazy.
Stoops is definitely underappreciated at Oklahoma.

#Pitt has had contact with Greg Schiano regarding its soon-to-be-vacant head coaching job, source tells the Post-Gazette.

I maintain he is the only thing standing between Michigan and Schiano/Addazio.

that Whittingham would do well in Ann Arbor. He had two quarterbacks ready to go this past year. I'm not so sure about Schiano.
December 17th, 2014 at 4:18 AM ^
WHittingham has been terrible ever since Utah moved to the Pac 12 and Schiano was one game over 500 at Rutgers. Whittingham has won before I agree but isn't now that he's playing real teams week in and week out. Schiano has never won anything. He's horrible I don't think people really realize how bad he was minus one good year with Rutgers.

I've worried about this, too. And it's annoying because people automatically jump to, "Oh, you don't want Harbaugh? Well fuck you". No, I'm merely concerned about the possibility that we don't get him and don't seem to have a backup plan. I'm optimistic, too, but the number of people who already think it's in the bag is alarming. This place will be pure misery for a solid two weeks if he doesn't come.
December 16th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
Harbaugh to Michigan is far from a done deal. I don't think Schiano is plan B, my guess is it's someone we're not familiar with.
If Harbaugh doesn't come here, the meltdown among UM fans will incredibly epic. It has the potential to be the biggest meltdown in past decade.

to think that the misery would only last two weeks if our savior does not come home.
December 17th, 2014 at 2:41 AM ^
I am 100% confident that Hacket has a plan B but for obvious reasons he can not publically acknowledge this plan. Hackett is a smart man and I don't think he would have a Harbourgh or nothing plan. I think he feels confident that his chances of Signing JH are on the positive side of the ledger. For all U of M fans I hope he is right.
