But seriously though, who is Plan B?

Submitted by DeBored on

Miles says "no" strangely, Mullen says no contact, no smoke around Mora, etc.  Meanwhile, Kawakami is adamant that Harbaugh is an NFL guy.  So who is our Plan B?  Is anyone else hoping that we at least get rejections from Patterson and Stoops to indicate that we at least TRIED?  If Harbaugh ends up not being the coach, who do we end up with?

And if it's Schiano I QUIT LIFE.

Seriously, If Michigan doesn't get Harbaugh, they should focus on just getting a solid coach that preaches fundamentals and has an intense devotion to detail. As much as some think Michigan has to get a name coach, what it really needs is an excellent, relatively young HC that has won before. Either Whittingham or Schiano would do great at Michigan.

WHittingham has been terrible ever since Utah moved to the Pac 12 and Schiano was one game over 500 at Rutgers. Whittingham has won before I agree but isn't now that he's playing real teams week in and week out. Schiano has never won anything. He's horrible I don't think people really realize how bad he was minus one good year with Rutgers.

I've worried about this, too. And it's annoying because people automatically jump to, "Oh, you don't want Harbaugh? Well fuck you". No, I'm merely concerned about the possibility that we don't get him and don't seem to have a backup plan. I'm optimistic, too, but the number of people who already think it's in the bag is alarming. This place will be pure misery for a solid two weeks if he doesn't come.

I am 100% confident that Hacket has a plan B but for obvious reasons he can not publically acknowledge this plan. Hackett is a smart man and I don't think he would have a Harbourgh or nothing plan. I think he feels confident that his chances of Signing JH are on the positive side of the ledger. For all U of M fans I hope he is right.
