Not much blame was placed on the coaches for last year?? Has SkyPanther spent any time on this site? I think the blame has been pretty well allocated to ALL of the responsible parties.

04/08/2018 - 12:19pm Came

Came here just for the comments about how this isn't a real thing, but had to change when I saw the win was over OSU. Go LoL Wolverines!!!

By the way, chutes and ladders blows. Give me Candyland any day.

03/22/2018 - 9:49pm That

That was a straight up ass kicking. NOT CLOSE

03/18/2018 - 5:32pm Sadly

Sadly, this is probably pretty close to what Izzo will say.

03/18/2018 - 5:25pm Doesn't

Doesn't really matter what the excuses are because this was supposed to be the year and they are gone in the round of 32. LOL. Between this and last night, my upcoming week is off to a VERY good start!!

03/03/2018 - 4:35pm As

As someone who has been critical of Beilein at times regarding style and lack of defense, I am sooooo impressed with what he has done. Incredible how much better the defense has become and seeing players develop all over the court is awesome!! Great, great job. That was fun to watch.

12/10/2017 - 1:34pm Caldwell

Awesome double post. He's still not getting fired

12/10/2017 - 1:33pm Caldwell

Caldwell just signed an extension earlier this year. He's not getting fired.

11/24/2017 - 12:29pm I

I know the film was impressive, but I just want to know if he has command of the huddle and is loud enough?

11/14/2017 - 11:52pm Tai

Thanks for posting this. Good information. We all know young receivers tend to struggle. Not worried at all about that position group. Lots of talent there which will get better if we see improvement in the areas we should all be worried about, QB and O Line.

11/07/2017 - 11:50am Hate

Yeah, hate to say it, but I would take Sparty plus 16 there.

11/07/2017 - 11:49am Do

Do we know for sure who is playing QB for Maryland?

11/03/2017 - 8:33am Punter

Punter really is one of the best gigs ever, if you think about it.

11/02/2017 - 8:36am Peters

Peters throw bomb now

Gopher d has not a chance

Hope for 18 yes!

10/24/2017 - 12:33pm For

There are many of us who realized this was going to be a step back year, but wanted to see signs that next year would be better. That, I think, is where some of us are starting to really get concerned.

Yes, the quarterback got hurt. But it wasn't like he was playing well before getting injured, correct? Where is the realistic hope for that position next year?

Same with the offensive line. Do we really expect that to be better in 2018 based on what we have seen this year? Does the thought of adding a couple of redshirt freshman to the mix give everyone hope?

For me, I wanted to see progress in a couple of areas on offense and it just (obviously) hasn't been there. Doesn't mean it can't still happen, but my hope for next year has been somewhat diminished.

10/15/2017 - 10:01am Jay Cutler

Pretty sure Vandy Jay Cutler would be starting for this team right now, just sayin'.

10/15/2017 - 9:48am Do

Do you seriously think the coaching staff wouldn't trot Peters out there if they thought he were a better option at this point or even an equal option? Seriously? When the program was in shambles a few years back many would always say it can't get worse and the next week... it got worse. Read between the lines. Peters not getting any run should be telling all of us something.

10/15/2017 - 9:40am I

I think that is exactly what he is saying - it wouldn't go well. Not sure what the hangup is, because the physical tools are there. Maybe he's just not capable of handling playing at a high D1 program?

10/15/2017 - 9:36am Not Bama

Bama started a TRUE freshman last year at QB, so that comparison isn't a good one. I just don't buy the "its a so complicated system" thing. Not buying it.

10/15/2017 - 9:29am Doesn't

Doesn't the fact that he is/was third on the depth chart behind O'Korn tell you something about where Peters is at? If he can't beat out a guy who threw for under 60 yards yesterday, that is pretty telling.

10/14/2017 - 5:09pm Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Greatly appreciated.

10/14/2017 - 5:01pm Thanks

Thanks for all of the great information you provide umbig11!! Let me ask you a totally unfair question. If you had to project the QB depth chart for NEXT year, what would it be? I guess what I am asking is, do you think there is a reasonable possibility that either McCaffrey or Peters will be good to go a year from now? Totally unfair question, I know, but would like to hear your thoughts.

10/12/2017 - 9:27pm I

I don't think some of the criticism is warranted, but serious question: When is it ok to start expecting the occassional division title, trip to indy, etc? Year 5, 7, 10? At some point that has to be the expectation, no?

09/11/2017 - 10:00pm For many

For many of us, it's not hating Speight. It's just disappointment that in year 3 under Harbaugh, the best we can trot out there is Speight. Respect the young man, but just think he is very limited.

08/29/2017 - 8:57pm This

This should go well...

05/19/2017 - 12:16pm 9

First double post. Yeah!

05/19/2017 - 12:15pm 9

9 seems about right for this year.

05/07/2017 - 9:08pm Safe

Safe to say that arm strength won't be a problem with Joe. WOW! His mechanics, however, yikes. Will be fun to see what he turns into under Harbaugh.

05/07/2017 - 7:53pm Rutgers

Nice to see Rutgers softball living up to the example set by the rest of the teams on campus. Thanks for bringing that dumpster fire of a college into the BIG, Delany!

01/05/2017 - 5:59pm Please

Please, please, please let this happen.

11/18/2016 - 9:36pm Not

Not gonna get crazy with raised expectations, but as someone who expected very little this year it was a pleasant surprise to see them actually playing some d. I understand that the competition isn't the greatest, but I remember tons of games against bad teams the last couple years where they couldn't cover anybody. Certainly more interested to see how the season develops, that's for sure.

06/20/2016 - 10:29pm What's

What's your problem, 14/34 is great!!

Andre Drummond

06/20/2016 - 10:19pm Regular

He's a regular transfer (not grad transfer), so he will need to sit a year.

04/07/2016 - 7:03pm James Harden

James Harden is going to try and prove you wrong.

04/07/2016 - 12:33pm You

You had me until your last paragraph where you say stop whining and cheer for the team. Believe it or not it is possible to both support the team and be critical of it. In fact, having a fanbase and supporters who are critical of a team is often how programs achieve greater success. Holding a team, coach and program to higher, yet realistic, expectations is a good thing and not always whining. It doesn't have to be either or.

03/23/2016 - 6:58pm No Shit

Gather as much talent as possible at every position and the best players will play. If guys don't want to compete to get on the floor then maybe they aren't the type of player you want.

03/18/2016 - 4:59pm My weekend

My weekend just got MUCH better. Just sayin'. Thanks MTSU!!!!

03/11/2016 - 8:12am Quite

Quite possibly the best post EVER!! Well done MAZ!!

03/06/2016 - 11:43am So

So, with all of that experience coming back, we should EXPECT better next year, correct and not just hope? There is a difference between hope and expectations. These are all Beilein's guys that are upperclassmen, so we should expect very good things next year. My goodness people, raise the bar a little at least..

03/06/2016 - 11:11am Come on

Come on MC, an NIT run means nothing. Also, I guess we have a different definition of what a successful season is. Making the NCAA shouldn't be the goal at Michigan.

03/06/2016 - 11:02am I

I like Beilein a great deal and have enormous respect for how he trys to run a clean program. With that said, it seems like the common excuses from posters on this site for the disappointing last two seasons typically comes down to injuries and the lack of upperclassmen, correct?

If we assume that is correct, then barring serious injury to key players next year, we should expect a FAR better product than this year, right? Walton, Irvin, and Donnal will be Seniors. Chatman, Rahkman, Robinson, Dawkins and Doyle will all be Juniors.

One last thing. With all of the hand wringing about injuries, we should probably never hear posters here mocking Izzo for his weird guys comments and excuses anymore, correct? The amount of blame being attributed to injuries the last couple years has gotten pretty over the top.

02/02/2016 - 3:14pm IBD??

IBD?? Did anyone really read the whole thing??

02/01/2016 - 6:58pm link??

Got a link for this one??

01/30/2016 - 9:43am I

I see what you are saying, but there's no way to spin this as anything but a very significant loss just a few days before signing day. End of the world, no, but a big loss.

01/30/2016 - 9:35am and

And there you have it. Yikes...

01/30/2016 - 9:34am Umm, no

Even in this crazy recruiting cycle, that is a massive reach.

01/30/2016 - 9:32am This

This is gonna be a long weekend. Coaches tweeting weird stuff late on a Friday night, rumors of surprise silent commits and kids on game sites discussing possible commits. I  can just imagine what the posts are going to look like for the next couple of days. I shudder just thinking about it....

01/29/2016 - 8:18am Decent

Decent shot at the tourney, but I don't see a deep run once in. Not quite enough inside to make a major run, unfortunately.

01/21/2016 - 4:54pm With

With the way this recruiting cycle is going, this makes perfect sense. Is it Feb. 4th yet?

01/17/2016 - 12:39pm I

I have no idea what this kid will end up doing regardless of where he goes to school, but I do have to say that I just watched his senior highlights and that was about as entertaining as it gets. Even with all of the usual caveats about competition and the fact that it is his highlight film, he certainly has some very nice attributes that translate regardless - like balance, shiftiness, confident hands, etc. Heck, he also likes the physical element of the game a great deal (blocking, trench battles, etc.)

Was half expecting to see him bomb some punts and field goals after he threw a couple 50 yard passes on target. Definitely would love to see him come and it would be fun to watch what he can do over the next few years.....
