Senior Bowl results
Watched the entire game.
Shea played well and made some strong plays driving the team in a first half comeback with a 75 yard TD pass and FG in two minute drill to tie score 10-10 at halftime. He was 6-10 and 131 yards passing for the game's best QB stats. Hebert won MVP which was a full week award.
Uche was awesome and showed his very high draft position.
Bredesen barely came out and was a stud.
Hudson was solid all around at safety and special teams play.
Metullus never came off the field and performed well.
Great showing by the winged helmet. Go Blue !!!

Stats for Uche?
January 25th, 2020 at 8:26 PM ^
Yep, in the box score.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:31 PM ^
Nothing published. But my count was 2.5 sacks, 3 QB hurries, 5 total tackles. He was routinely double teamed which is the ultimate respect from an NFL coach. Draft stock should be sky rocketing based on game and week’s practice results.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:35 PM ^
Wow, that's good to see.
January 26th, 2020 at 1:16 PM ^
Wow that’s huge. If he has a big showing at the combine he could definitely work his way into the third round, maybe even late second.
I’d have a hard time seeing him make the first round though, because he doesn’t have the imposing physical stature or elite athleticism that teams look for with their first round picks.
January 25th, 2020 at 11:47 PM ^
Uche will have a more productive career than Chase Young.
January 26th, 2020 at 12:37 AM ^
I don't know what his draft grade is, but if the Steelers could get him he would probably look really good on a defense with a familiar face.
January 26th, 2020 at 10:56 AM ^
I think that depends on which teams draft them.
January 26th, 2020 at 12:31 PM ^
Chase Young. The next Eli Apple.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:38 PM ^
These guys are all likely to be solid NFL players, except for Shea. Still feel like another season got away from us.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:41 PM ^
I'm not happy with the QB play since Jedd Fisch left.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:43 PM ^
Shea was the very clear #2 QB today. He had total command and made NFL plays.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:45 PM ^
The Int sailed, like we've seen him do so many times at Michigan.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:56 PM ^
Yep and Hebert fucked up twice. This INT was the harmless no impact kind.
January 25th, 2020 at 8:58 PM ^
I don't know it the NFL scouts and coaches watching viewed it like you.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:09 PM ^
You are a troll. Show the six completions - one for 75 yard TD - and 2 scrambles for key first downs. Are you a chicken shit ?
January 25th, 2020 at 9:25 PM ^
Since I don't agree with you you call me a troll.
January 25th, 2020 at 10:03 PM ^
Yes, you are a for sure 100% a troll. Post the 75 yard TD play and eat some crow. I dare you. Chicken shit.
January 25th, 2020 at 11:44 PM ^
You're out of line.
January 26th, 2020 at 5:14 AM ^
You tell him, Mongo. +1 To hell with all those Eeyores who cherry pick every bad item and ignore the good things.
January 26th, 2020 at 9:35 AM ^
Yeah, that dude is totally a troll. He’s the same dude as the guy who pretends to be Shea Patterson. Total loser.
January 26th, 2020 at 12:32 PM ^
This spiraled quickly. There are enough plays over Patterson’s career to back up whatever your position is on his talent. He’s made some great plays and some terrible ones. Realistically, I don’t think a low impact senior bowl changes any of that. He thru the ball 10 times, completed 6, had a terrible INT (your definition of a no impact INT is way off). He had a great 15-20 yard throw back for that TD that went 75 yards. Like others have said, his performance probably couldn’t have been a more accurate summary of his career. Great moments and “what was he thinking” moments alike. I definitely hope he finds success on the field and off. I truly believe he gave us his best effort and that’s all we could ask for.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:11 PM ^
You'll stop at nothing to shit on people, won't you?
January 25th, 2020 at 9:18 PM ^
You're exaggerating.
Have a nice day.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:08 PM ^
Shea was disappointing at UM relative to expectations, but I don't remember him doing this much at all in his two years here. I definitely don't remember him "sailing" passes as an issue, it sounds like you're just trying to harp on him for no good reason
January 25th, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
Dude. Look at his career stats and it is the same as this. Michigan fans are insufferable. WAKE THE FUCK UP !!!!
January 25th, 2020 at 9:14 PM ^
Look at his footwork and you'll see why the ball sailed. Feet flat, spread wide apart, perpendicular to the direction of the throw - doesn't step into it. The season resumed in one image.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:22 PM ^
So you played QB at a D1 program and can critique his footwork. Come on.
Edit - holy shit. This was not footwork. Just late on the read. Shit happens. The INT meant nothing.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:23 PM ^
There's some commenters on sports blogs that know more than you realize.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:22 PM ^
Well, now they're going to call you a troll.
But it's true, Patterson sailed passes kinda often. It was vivid in the Alabama game.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:48 PM ^
Come on dude. This was a review of the Senior Bowl game not Alabama bowl game. Just stop shitting on Michigan players. If Shea did well so why can’t you agree and stop digging up fucking troll shit.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:56 PM ^
Try to be polite.
You became quickly vulgar with someone that didn't agree completely with you.
Lighten up. Smile. It's a beautiful Saturday in a country where we have refrigerators and cupboards full of food. Most of the world doesn't have that. Smile.
January 25th, 2020 at 10:14 PM ^
Nothing personal but I am fucking sick and fucking tired of people hating on Michigan players.
Stop the hating. These are our boys.
January 25th, 2020 at 11:09 PM ^
I'm not hating.
So because someone doesn't agree completely with you they are trolls and haters. Few people will agree with your opinions on anything.
If some people's opinions bother you, just scroll past them. Why get angry and vulgar?
Have you ever considered that your anger and name calling is trolling?
January 26th, 2020 at 2:46 PM ^
Hand is also under the ball so when he spins it, it he sails it.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:35 PM ^
Shea tends to “sling” the ball. He doesn’t raise enough in the L position to get to a “true zero” or pronate the hand enough on follow thru. He actually seemed to have better arm mechanics as a HS senior.
It’s tough to master. Brady changed mechanics over a long period to create an almost unique reverse C motion. The 2nd level throws require good mechanics and I bet he develops his ability ove the next couple of years.
January 25th, 2020 at 9:50 PM ^
So the OP just left his INT out? Lol
January 25th, 2020 at 11:14 PM ^
He also left out that Metellus got absolutely roasted on a TD pass by the South where he was in single coverage. Like, crispy. Looked like he was playing OSU out there, and was utterly familiar.
Like, I saw the highlight of the play (it was a highlight of the QB on twitter) and saw the winged helmet, initially thought it was Lavert Hill... and realized that it had to be Metellus with how he got annihilated. And, on replay, there he was.
January 26th, 2020 at 12:00 AM ^
Here's Metellus. He is who he is.
January 26th, 2020 at 1:16 AM ^
Roasted, crispy, annihilated? I don't know man, the pass was perfect. Metellus was with him every step. I was expecting him to have slipped, or just blown coverage. I've seen way worse...
January 26th, 2020 at 2:07 AM ^
He was burned clean.
Watching it again, though, I have to agree that I overstated my case. Thought about editing, but that would be dishonest given the length of time the post was up. "Crispy" usually means that there is quite a bit of space. Metellus was well beaten, but still in the neighborhood.
I mean, he is who he is. That was definitely Metellus in a matchup that would beat him.
January 26th, 2020 at 7:35 AM ^
actually metellus sticks with him very well and its a great throw - the problem is that metellus makes virtually no movement to defend the pass, none. its as if he was told to stick with his guy but that he'd be penalized if he made any aggressive move to defend the pass or even give a hint that he had a clue that the ball might be coming. that is the frustration.
January 26th, 2020 at 3:48 PM ^
Ya gotta look back for the ball.
January 26th, 2020 at 8:51 AM ^
Hm. I expected much worse than that based on your description. Was Metellus in any position to break up the pass even if it wasn't perfect? No. But that was more a beautiful throw from Hurts than bad coverage by Metellus
January 26th, 2020 at 11:59 AM ^
It’s the basics coaches tell a dB. Act like your a receiver keep an eye on the ball, so you can catch or break up the pass. He never turned around to see he was being targeted. Basics.
January 28th, 2020 at 9:41 AM ^
The DB coach also tells you if you're not in the hip pocket, don't turn your head around to look for the ball. Just play through the WR's hands without looking back for the ball
January 26th, 2020 at 9:05 AM ^
Yup Josh got burned had his back to the play on that pass. We don’t know maybe the receiver ran a bad route on sheas pass. I thought all our players played a damn fine game. Uche may pass up Young in the draft.
go blue.
January 26th, 2020 at 11:18 AM ^
I like Uche but he will not be drafted before Young. Young is a top 5 pick. Uche will go late 1st to mid second best case scenario.
January 26th, 2020 at 11:55 AM ^
Getting double teamed says 1st round.
