Further validation of Lewis' fantastic year:

Cornerbacks

Jourdan Lewis, Michigan +21.2

Lewis boasts the nation’s top coverage grade, despite facing the sixth-most targets. His 15 passes defensed also lead the nation.

Key stat: Opposing quarterbacks are completing 36.5 percent of their passes thrown Lewis’ way, second-best in the country among corners with at least 60 targets.

Awesome news. Lewis had a hell of a year and deserves his accolades.

Hoping he comes back, but have to admit I am not really expecting him to and that I would have absolutely no problems if that is the ultimate decision.

I have inside info that John Harbaugh was going to use a first rounder on Lewis, but then he read Mgoblog and realized he needed to grow another year.

I guess it just would be a "clean break" point for him that wasn't there before. I guess it depends on where he projects and less with Durkin anyway. I think "he gone" if he projects to the first round in any case.

Can we be optimistic about the fact that Stanford has an OL (Josh Garnett) and an RB (Christian McCaffrey) on this list?

At some point you have to give credit to Shaw and not chalk it all up to Harbaugh though, right?

Remembering a pic about two years ago Woodson was standing by with his legit 6'1 height and he was considerably taller than Jabril and his fake 6'1 height and Jourdan. I agree they should both make sure they get those degrees.
