Out of the Box DC Candidate
Tanned, rested and ready is the DC of our ferocious 1985 defense as featured by The Wolverine Historian. Gary Moeller is still part of the Michigan family and though no spring chicken he is a bit younger than Monte Kiffin. If he is at all interested in getting back into coaching this could be a good fit and a chance to expunge the unfortunate feelings that surrounded his departure. A few years with Mo at the helm to get traditional Michigan toughness back into the defense and then have him groom a successor.

I didn't realize he had a gut until that picture. He hides it well on gamedays
November 18th, 2010 at 5:26 PM ^
He distracts you with the hair and your eyes never leave his head.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:32 PM ^
You know, I've just come to the realization that this is actually true.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:42 PM ^
shit, you're right! until he goes bald or dies, we need this man and that luscious, beautiful head of silver wonderment on our sidelines.... good defense or not.
i think the case for keeping Gerg Robinson has been rested.
November 18th, 2010 at 10:15 PM ^
a scalp of his hair in a Schembechler Hall glass case?
November 19th, 2010 at 2:02 AM ^
That's where he keeps his shampoo.
November 18th, 2010 at 6:03 PM ^
November 18th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
because I am negging the shit outta you dudes that start useless shit like this. GERG is our DC and you know what, I think he will be back next year.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
Then next year is Rich Rod's last year if he keeps GRob.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
is that you?
No, just some dude on the web who thinks he knows something? Well I feel better now.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
God is that you?
Nope just another guy that doesn't like other peoples opinions and is obviously always right.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
However all you dudes who make statements like If GERG isn't fired next year will be Rich Rod's last are dumb as fuck to me.
You have no idea whats gonna happen, maybe GERG will get fired, but I don't see it happening. In the last two weeks our D has played better. We're young with all kinds of talent.
If you don't see that, then I can't help you.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:14 PM ^
45 pts in regulation means they are playing better?
Purdue doesn't count, that was basically a HS offense out there.
Lets just wait and see what happens these next two weeks.
BTW, you don't happen to be his son or something?
November 18th, 2010 at 5:16 PM ^
Each of you get a +1 for your responses because I was in the mood for a good internet pillow fight and you guys delivered! No offense intented - I truly enjoyed the argument.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:17 PM ^
I'm glad I could provide entertainment, and a +1 to Maximus.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:20 PM ^
We forced 6 punts, and 4 field goal attempts. This despite Illinois starting drives in much better field position then we did. Plus we turned the ball over 5 times that day.
Our Defense played fairly well, obviously there is room to grow, but they did their job that day. Cry about 45 points in regulation all you want, the D played well that day.
November 18th, 2010 at 10:12 PM ^
That last sentence is drowning in Kool-Aid.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:44 PM ^
guys, don't forget about that beautiful full head of hair. lets keep this shit in perspective please...
November 18th, 2010 at 6:12 PM ^
Dark Blue for bringing some heat to the dumbass fire so & so people.

November 18th, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
I could give a shit less what your opinion is.
So you care? If you don't see how you failed there then I can't help you.
November 18th, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
Haha yeah like that guy that started a thread saying everyone's thoughts in the past week were stupid. Oh wait...
November 18th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
November 18th, 2010 at 5:20 PM ^
-1 for you because (a) you state an opinion like its a fact and I don't like that, and (b) your avatar makes me sick to my stomach.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:42 PM ^
Pretty sure he was making fun of dark blue. Their comments are the same except the part about how many points they have

His avatar is the dickhead that purposely puked on kids at a Phillies game.
I have to +1 him just for that.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
If we are throwing names out, what about Mike Trogvac? hes only the d line coach at Green Bay, he can come back and help his program out, he was DC at Carolina when they were sweet.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
He's already "emphatically" ruled out a comeback.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
I didn't read that at all. All I took out of it was that no one had mentioned anything to him about it and that he was surprised by the question. Not that I am saying I want him, just that he didn't "emphatically" rule anything.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
Two words.
Hell
No
November 18th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
Barwis is due for a promotion.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:13 PM ^
I saw you sitting at 1999. Gotta give you the +1 there.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:14 PM ^
That was kind of you. To you too.

run a stack defense or a no-grenade defense. And what would the no-grenade defense be? That sounds like a man to man with some aggressive blitzes but only blitz when the opposing team has a dominant QB or RB.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:22 PM ^
Lloyd Brady.
(Can I get a photoshop?)
November 18th, 2010 at 5:40 PM ^
O shit, you said Lloyd Brady not Lloyd Banks...may bad, but I think he is conveying the same emotion.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:22 PM ^
Mike Barwis scared The Situation into practicing abstinence.
November 18th, 2010 at 5:55 PM ^
Maybe Barwis can coach special teams.
