Out of the Box DC Candidate

Submitted by jbibiza on

Tanned, rested and ready is the DC of our ferocious 1985 defense as featured by The Wolverine Historian.  Gary Moeller is still part of the Michigan family and though no spring chicken he is a bit younger than Monte Kiffin.  If he is at all interested in getting back into coaching this could be a good fit  and a chance to expunge the unfortunate feelings that surrounded his departure.  A few years with Mo at the helm to get traditional Michigan toughness back into the defense and then have him groom a successor.

However all you dudes who make statements like If GERG isn't fired next year will be Rich Rod's last are dumb as fuck to me.

You have no idea whats gonna happen, maybe GERG will get fired, but I don't see it happening. In the last two weeks our D has played better. We're young with all kinds of talent.

If you don't see that, then I can't help you.

We forced 6 punts, and 4 field goal attempts. This despite Illinois starting drives in much better field position then we did. Plus we turned the ball over 5 times that day.

Our Defense played fairly well, obviously there is room to grow, but they did their job that day. Cry about 45 points in regulation all you want, the D played well that day.

If we are throwing names out, what about Mike Trogvac? hes only the d line coach at Green Bay, he can come back and help his program out, he was DC at Carolina when they were sweet.

run a stack defense or a no-grenade defense.  And what would the no-grenade defense be?  That sounds like a man to man with some aggressive blitzes but only blitz when the opposing team has a dominant QB or RB.
