OT: Wisconsin Looks Legit

Submitted by DJEasy12 on

They are seriously putting work on LSU. Their defense is for real, and their O-Line looks fine to me. This game is going to be a challenge. But, in Harbaugh we trust! HARBAUGH!!

they usually do look legit, at least since alvarez got them rolling however many years ago (though they cycle up and down like most teams).  theyve had the same identity, recruited to the same profile, played to similar style, etc for some years now - they know who they are and how they want to play.

wiscy has always impressed me.  theyre not a top national power (or even consistent big ten power) but theyre in the hunt often enough and they almost always field competitive squads, particularly given their resources (ie not the most talent rich state, etc).  i wouldnt underestimate them

I guess we found out what happens when a top SEC team comes north...they lose to an upper mid-level B1G team.

If we don't have Mone that could be a problem. Clement will pick up some yards that day.

Where I think Wisconsin will have a much tougher time with us, other than not playing at home or at Lambeau, is that Harbaugh knows how to run an offense, unlike Les Miles. Everyone and their mother knew exactly what LSU's game plan was today: hand off to Fournette. Brandon Harris and the rest of the LSU offense are total garbage, so Wisconsin could stack 8-9 guys in the box and dare Harris to beat them with his arm.

And they knew he couldn't.

Wisconsin 16 LSU 14

South Ala 21 Miss St 20

WVU 26 Missou 11

Arkansas 21 LA Tech 20

None of these look good for SEC.

Who to root for in USC vs Alabama?  Talented but troubled USC more recent Rose Bowl nemesis, vs. Alabama, bigger recruiting current heavyweight champion?  Forced to choose, I root for USC.

I watched the entire game and despite a couple of hiccups, Wisconsin owned LSU. Anyone who ASSumed that Michigan - Wisconsin was/is a given needs to review their world view. Our "easy home schedule" has become a lot less easy.

I'm pleased as h*ll that Wisconsin beat LSU, but clearly they are going to be a lot more than a bump on the way to our rival.

Are you angry that he didn't just follow the MgoFanBoy tagline of , "WE WILL KILL EVERYONE EVERYONE SUCKS MICHIGAN WILL EVEN WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!"

I mean, JEEZUS TAP DANCING CHRIST does it all have to be roses and lollipops?

Didn't we try that when Rich Rodriguez was hired?

1.  Good signature win for conference.  LSU is loaded with talent.

2.  Wiscy held LSU to less than 250 yards, good to see defensive excellence continues post-Aranda.

3.  Good for BIG--last few years SEC was winning BIG matchups, but 2 years we've pulled up even.
