Also great to see an SEC team finally travel north for a neutral site game.

09/11/2015 - 11:29pm All the best to you Jamiemac.

All the best to you Jamiemac. A brilliant mind and true contrarian bettor. I've been checking Just Cover Blog twice a week, waiting for that first post since March. Hope to be surprised soon!

03/10/2015 - 7:53pm Caleb Porter

It is true Brandon expressed interest in Caleb Porter but talks immediately stalled when Brandon discussed salary. Brandon wanted a new "elite" coach for the same price he was paying Burns (approx $75k). Firing Burns was a huge mistake as he had a top 5 class signed and ready to come in the following season. The majority of that class went elsewhere. Burns will always love Michigan and gave his life to the program. He still supports the program from afar and has never said one negative word about how it went down.

09/04/2013 - 11:28pm Suh Suh Sudio

Got this one from a fellow mgoblogger 2-3 years back and still using it. Love the Phil Collins reference.

06/20/2013 - 9:02pm Scrooge McDuck

I hope Scrooge McDuck held onto all that gold. He was getting about $450 per ounce in 1987. Today he's at $1,275 per ounce. If he was the richest duck in the world in 1987, just imagine what he's like now. I bet Scrooge McDuck pulls some serious boy band ass.

06/03/2013 - 8:06pm Randy Wise Auto

Randy Wise and his son Chris are bigtime Michigan supporters. Donate a ton to athletics. I bought a used Land Rover from them in 2007. 119,000+ miles and still tickin'.

11/21/2012 - 11:35am BEAT OHIO

MICH 23

OHIO 31

Please note I'm predicting this because it's best for the team.  If you want to get rich, take the opposite of my pick.

Urban wears tight briefs and prefers missionary. Beat Ohio.

09/28/2012 - 5:21pm Kudos Jamiemac

I really respect Jamiemac's entire program. Could not agree more. My lady likes shopping. She can shop every weekend if she wants and she doesn't owe me anything. I like watching football.

11/11/2011 - 3:15pm Soaring

THE KNOWLEDGE may have been inaccurate, but he still soars and leaves all doubters in a trial of dust.  It is my belief that THE KNOWLEDGE will soon come to this very blog and make his boldest statement yet.  The Iowa loss was a mere analomy.  All hail THE KNOWLEDGE and thank him for gracing us with his presence.

09/30/2011 - 6:32pm Not Covering Point Spread

I believe this is a test posed by THE_KNOWLEDGE to lead us astray. He said Mich wins by more than 20 to simply throw us off. It is the true proteges that speak THE_KNOWLEDGE's language. I respect and fear the power of THE_KNOWLEDGE.

09/27/2011 - 8:53pm Agreed.

Blaming Steve Bartman is ridiculous. One play doesn't decide a series. The Cubs made several errors after that. Fine, call it a curse. Cubs fans get off on calling it a curse. That's their whole identity.

12/10/2010 - 5:21pm MICHIGAN TAILGATING INFO - SANTA BARBARA

COLLEGE CUP TAILGATING INFO. - SANTA BARBARA

The pregame tailgate location for all Michigan fans and alumni will be in parking lot #16 next to Harder Stadium.  There will be free food and drinks.

Look for the "Michigan" tent in parking lot #16 in advance of the game to connect with other maize and blue faithful. Game kicks off at 8pm vs Akron. The tailgate kicks off at 5pm.

This message was sent out to all the presidents to post on their websites for the U-M clubs of: LA, san Diego, san jose, orange county, and san Francisco. Turnout may be 100-200 people.

The Assc athl director at ucsb said they have a no alcohol policy on campus but look the other way on game days as long as there are no kegs and beer/drinks are in cups.

Ryan Yoder is the point person for "Tailgate Central."  Please call or text him with any questions - 419-461-6665.

12/10/2010 - 11:31am 1938-1940 Michigan Football Jersey

Anyone know where I could get a similar looking jersey as they wore in 1938-1940?  I've been wanting to make an old school Tom Harmom jersey.  I've been trying to find a plain navy blue top, then I can stitch on the numbers from there.

I wanted to post this on the MGoBoard but I do not think I have enough points.

11/18/2010 - 10:33pm LED?

Looks awesome.  Any chance they're using LED technology?  They look very modern and much brighter than your traditional stadium lighting.  I didn't read anything to that effect, but I would think they would've at least considered it.

11/14/2010 - 2:14pm TFD

Great to not only see Michigan win, but completely dominate.  Hats off to Coach Steve Burns and all the players.  They've had top 10 recruiting classes the last 2 years and might have the #1 recruiting class coming in next year.

Looked like the European Football version of the spread n' shed today.  They really attacked from all angles.

09/21/2010 - 5:33pm Protege of the Week

With all due respect to mgome7 and Baloo_Dance, I predicted 29-25.  So why do they get to soar and bank in glory, while I'm left behind in a cloud of dust?

I think THE_KNOWLEDGE may have only looked on page 1 of the comments.  I dare not try to upset THE_KNOWLEDGE for I do not wish to feel his wrath.  To be a protege THE_KNOWLEDGE would be a dream come true.  I'm sitting here behind this desk looking for a greater purpose.

Hi THE_KNOWLEDGE.  I'd just like to say what a huge fan I am of your program.  I read all your posts and you've done so much not only for mgoblog, but college football.

Michigan wins 29-25.

07/29/2010 - 4:27am Aon Sponsor

My buddy works for Aon and he said all 34,000 employees received the new Manchester United jersey.  I guess it's one of the few perks the company has provided.  It's made of recycled soda cans.

07/28/2010 - 8:12am No.

No.

07/21/2010 - 4:32pm Stuart Scott

Agreed.  I hate Stuart Scott.  Everything is phat to him.  I get the feeling that he thinks he's an all-world athlete himself that has achieved super-stardom.

07/14/2010 - 11:41am ACL, MCL, Meniscus

I tore mine right knee up in 1999 playing soccer in the Coliseum.  Apparently, that hard blue rubber floor isn't the best surface...doesn't give an inch!  I can honestly say I lost a step in speed and was also subconsciously hesitant to plant on my right foot.  I really don't think people who suffer ACL injures are ever the same.  I'm hoping I'm wrong because I want to see Vincent Smith become a WorldBeater.  And he's an amazing athlete so perhaps his recovery will be much more complete.  William McGahee came back pretty strong and there are numerous other examples.  All the best to Vincent!

07/08/2010 - 8:32am All in for Spain!

I share the same sentiments as many on this board.  The more I watch the Dutch, the more I don't like them.  Too many flops, too much complaining to the ref.  Spain plays hard and they don't go seeking calls.  Xavi & Villa are absolute class.  I also liked how they didn't celebrate too much after the semifinal, as if their business was not complete.  Spain seems like they're on a mission and I actually think they'll domiante the final....Spain 3-0.

07/07/2010 - 10:08pm Jay Demerit

I played against Defender Jay Demerit when he was with Illinois-Chicago, now the USMNT.  There's a guy that goes unnoticed, undrafted in the MLS, then finds himself playing in the Premier League and World Cup.

06/24/2010 - 6:00pm John Harkes

Harkes had a great career and was one of the pioneers for American soccer.  I just don't enjoy listening to him during the matches.  I almost feel like he puts on a weird accent or that most of his comments almost sound like questions.

06/24/2010 - 5:55pm A Plot Has Been Hatched!

That was a great line during the US/Slovenia game, almost comical, "A plot has been hatched!"  I felt like it was the right humor for the moment because Donovan and Torres were clearly up to something.

06/22/2010 - 12:31pm Raymond Domenech/Alberto Parreira

Did anyone notice the post-match exchange between the head coaches Domenech and Parreira?  It looked a bit icy.  I can only speculate Domenech was unhappy with the referee issuing a red card for Gourcuff's elbow in the 1st half?  What a complete shit show for France.  Zidane should step in and restore order.

06/22/2010 - 11:25am BABS

Welcome home Babs!

06/13/2010 - 3:07pm Tom Izzo aka 007

I've always thought Tom Izzo looks a lot like Timothy Dalton who played James Bond from 1987-1994.

06/03/2010 - 11:25am Hotel Allegra

As a Chicago resident myself, where do I sign up for the Hotel Allegra gambling, drugs, and hookers festivities?
