If ND has 1 loss they'll remain a quality opponent.

It would be quite something if the books tripped up Book.

Gambling would also work for joke reasons.

If he cheated somehow, you just know that Kelly will....throw the Book at him...
He's in big trouble. Those Catholics strictly adhere to the....Good Book...
This will be the end of ND's run to the playoffs. You heard it here first, and you can... Book it!

I hope he sees central booking for this one.
October 8th, 2018 at 8:24 PM ^
Throwing the Book at him is better than the other option.
October 8th, 2018 at 8:50 PM ^
Letting him play would be spineless, time to turn the page. On to the next paperbackImeanquarterback.

Ian seemed pretty straight-laced. This just illustrates that you can’t judge a book by its cover.
October 9th, 2018 at 8:15 AM ^
The timing doesn't make sense. Banned Books Week was in September.
October 8th, 2018 at 8:27 PM ^
Doesn’t sound serious. I can’t stand ND for lots of reasons but their track record is very good when it comes to dealing with player misbehavior.

Tell that to Lizzy Seeberg's Family.
October 8th, 2018 at 9:12 PM ^
I was unfamiliar with the Lizzy Seeberg case, so I googled it. Absolutely sickening. This scenario just keeps getting played out over and over again on multiple college campuses and it seems nothing changes. I've never had a great feeling about Brian Kelly-- nothing I could put my finger on, just that his purple fits along the sidelines were ridiculous-- I guess my gut was correct.
IMO nothing about campus rape changes until university police no longer have jurisdiction over it (and other serious crimes.) They don't have the expertise and there is a pretty strong conflict of interest.
October 8th, 2018 at 10:28 PM ^
Oh, of course. Michael Floyd getting all those DUI's and not missing a single game. I can still remember Brian Kelly doing the "no punishment I could give him could make him feel as bad as he feels right now," BS.
Fuck Brian Kelly and fuck Notre Dame. They're not as clean as they obsessively make themselves out to be.
October 8th, 2018 at 8:27 PM ^
Sounds like he failed a class, and something may be in the works to bail him out... Merely my thoughts and suspicions.
October 8th, 2018 at 8:31 PM ^
According to multiple sources at Notre Dame, Ian Book is not under the threat of suspension.

Let me guess. He wrote in print when the assignment was to write in cursive?
October 8th, 2018 at 8:54 PM ^
Read All the Directions before starting the test.
Put your name on test and turn it in.
Meanwhile, scribbling furiously and tearing the test up with my pencil that of course the eraser was shot on.
Got me every time.

Some of you are reading way too much into this.
October 8th, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
Well, this situation isn't exactly an open Book.
October 8th, 2018 at 9:21 PM ^
So much so, you had to post it twice!

Go figure, ineligible player playing in games?
October 8th, 2018 at 9:30 PM ^
It's a nothing story that, thanks to social media, required multiple people to debunk and will something he'll have to deal with for a week or two. Sometimes I hate seeing the ecosystem that surrounds college sports just play to the basest level.

Even if true, they can win out the rest of their schedule with Wimbush.
