all 2nd half 2010 Wisconsin game and runs the ball 30 straight plays. This results in 10 consecutive 3 & outs and we lose 27-0.
Incidentally, this will be my 6th straight trip to Happy Valley for the Michigan / PSU game. 2-3 record so far, so hoping to even it up. Not feeling great, but you never know!

If we have 2 offensive passing plays go for 30+ yards in this game, we win. JOK, we ask so little of you.

-
Our assistant coaches' wives and significant others will be hotter than Penn State's. Ergo, our position groups will be coached by more confident and competent coaches, and thus play better.
-
The white out crowd is so snockered by kickoff that they assume they are cheering for the team wearing all white, causing confusion on the field and the inability of McSorley to audible at the line, and Michigan wins.
- Rashan Gary gets called for targeting even though it is a clean tackle on Barkley who has the ball and is not hit in the head. The officials review it, reverse the call, but still hit Gary with a b.s. personal foul call for fifteen yards and an automatic first down. McSorley follows up with an INT that Hill returns for a pick six. Franklin's head literally explodes.

Any prediction with a Scanners-type moment and James Franklin has some edge, but is it truly bold? I think it's an interesting question. I've always pegged Franklin for someone who was due one of these moments eventually in his career. Hopefully, it is in this coming game, especially if it is a play which irrevocably changes the momentum in our favor.

I fall asleep after the first quarter as opposed to halftime as usual.

is plotting with his sister to set up a Daenerys v. Night King mega-fight that will leave everybody dead (including all of the Dragons) and Cersei and a King of her choosing will sit on the Iron Throne while Tyrion serves as Lord of Casterly Rock, the only thing he really ever wanted to begin with.

6-0 Michigan.
October 16th, 2017 at 3:00 PM ^
mich wins all remaining games on schedule 12-0, 4 FGs each game.
Quin Norden wins Heisman.
We then lose to Alabama in title game 6-0.
We are nonetheless happy.

Michigan plays surprisingly close, makes a few too many mistakes. Loses by 13. Mgoblog becomes a pit of unbearable sadness lamenting why our dream coach sucks so bad. It becomes apparent that way too many people hinge their self-worth on the performance of their favorite football team

this post rings so true that I'm already feeling sorry for myself.

Uh, I think we already checked that box after the loss to MSU.

Cut down on the penalties and have zero turnovers and we have a great shot. 17-10.

3 opportunities for me to look awesome Saturday
- Karan Rushing yards > Saquon rushing yards
- PSU does not score in 4th quarter.
- We get something like this again, but with Mo Hurst rubbing his belly.

I think O'Korn throws three picks, by design. Then he tracks the DB downfield, strips the ball, and returns it for a touchdown.

and Debbie Downers on this blog, there sure are a lot of predictions here for UM to win. Just sayin.
For what it is worth I'm a homer too and feel like somehow we win this game, at Penn State, at night. My mind and my heart are in a battle.

Well it's a bold prediction thread. Saying we're going to lose a close one isn't bold. Saying we're going to get blown out is depressing. Therefore win predictions.
My bold prediction: UM wins without an offensive TD.

Bold predictions:
Michigan is ahead by 3 scores at some point in the game
McSorely throws 2 INT's
Barkley gets hurt in the first half after their o line misses a block or two and doesnt return the rest of the game
Michigan wins 27-10

Dr. Blitz and Associates hold the bad guys to under 200 yards of total offense (<60 yds rushing, <140 passing) and to 10 points total.
October 16th, 2017 at 3:34 PM ^
Rashan ends McSorley, turning PSU into a sole rushing attack. Don Brown feasts.
October 16th, 2017 at 3:36 PM ^
O'Korn throws 3 Int's setting up a short field for PSU and we lose 21-6. I don't see us getting into the end zone this week.

that’s been the hurdle with him. O’Korn gets benched after the 1st QTR, Peters comes in and UofM wins 31-17.

The defense keeps us in the game until late in the 4th quarter, then they collapse from exhaustion due to a hugely lopsided time of possession stat and we lose. Barkley gets a long run late that make an otherwise pedestrian day look better.
October 16th, 2017 at 4:50 PM ^
I'm sure you meant they're gassed because the offense is constantly scoring so quickly and the defense has to go back on the field becase of that. I'm also sure you meant he breaks off a long run at the end to make the final score 56-14 Michigan.

We haven't beaten anyone ranked higher than us since Harbaugh arrived. I hope that changes Saturday!
October 16th, 2017 at 4:53 PM ^
Northwestern and BYU were both ranked higher than Michigan in 2015.

Prediction - the bitching about the reffing with be non-stop by the middle of the first quarter - and rightly so.
October 16th, 2017 at 4:49 PM ^
What my head tells me - Defense steps up to the plate, reduces Barkley to a mostly pedestrian night through three quarters. McSorely is under duress for a good portion of the night but makes some plays. He hits one of his trademark chuck and pray jump balls for a TD, and we all lose our shit over it. The offense stalls over and over, can't drive the length of the field consistently, and constantly puts the defense in bad spots. A LOT of false starts in a very loud environment. The defense is gassed by the 4th, and Barkley breaks off a 60 yd TD run to go up 28-14 and effectively put the game away.. Game ends on an O'Korn pick.
What my heart tells me - The offense looks like it's slowly starting to settle a little bit more. Higdon picks up some good runs here and there to keep the chains moving and keeps the defense rested. O'Korn hits a couple passes here and there, but still not much to strike fear into PSU's secondary. Just enough to keep the offense somewhat balanced. The difference comes with the defense being rested. They can repeatedly shut Barkley down and pick off a pair of McSorely passes, one that also sets up a short field and a Higdon TD run.
Game is tied 21-21 with under 4 mins to go and PSU is driving. But Barkley has an uncharacteristic fumble around the Michigan 25 and Michigan recovers. Michigan is able to drive to the PSU 37, due in part to one more "how the fuck did he escape that sack" move from O'Korn and throws to DPJ, who comes down with a beautiful catch to convert on 3rd down. With 2 seconds left, Harbaugh sends Nordin out to deliver the final knife in the jugular: a 54 yard game winning field goal. PSU fans are stunned, Franklin shits himself, and the Michigan contingent proudly chants throughout the stadium: We Own. Penn State.
