7 feet tall? Impressive, the camera must be taking away a few inches.

but I think this is a young coach (Wojo - who I suspect is plenty good) facing an offensive mastermind for the first time in his career. It seems that way as Marquette doesn't appear to have any answers on D right now.
23+ more minutes of this is good with me.

But you also don't have to replicate the career of an all-timer to be a good-to-great coach.

Wojo will be fine . . . but not tonight.

they just look like they're going to work. This isn't emotion or adrenaline like a big conference game. This is a methodical dismantliing.
Let's see if this holds in the second half.

I've seen him pick up his dribble too soon, a couple times.

He doesn't really know where he wants to go with the ball at this point. He was a pure scorer in high school, and can't get all those easy buckets at the basket like he used to. He's going to have to adapt his game, and it looks like it'll take some time.

The defensive player has from the floor to the ceiling once they've established position. I promise you that Googling it gives you legit results and the NCAA coaches vote last Spring.

indicated that it's a point of emphasis (stupidly) this year when defending the ball.
that said, they have had verticality rules for many years; typically when i guy is defending a shot on a player driving to the basket (ie. charge vs no charge call).

50-26 Michigan at the half. Great half by Michigan overall.
Simpson struggled offensively but really held his own defensively playing most of the way this first half.

Well that was a pleasant 1st half. Defense looks much improved so far.

But big man play does not equal post play. There hasn't been much post play by any of the bigs, if any at all.
