Meta - Is anyone else blocked from signing in on front page?
I've dumped my cache, re-inputted all data and still cannot log-in on front page. I can log in on the sideboard but as soon as I click on home I'm asked to log-in and the site won't take my credentials. Running Google Chrome for what that's worth.
Anybody else having this issue?

Isn't this the site's temporary fix after there are major problems? Always happens after a string of 502/503 errors like were happening yesterday.

I had forgotten that. I havent been on the board as much lately (thanks a lot Obama) so i hadn't seen the 502/503 errors popping up.

I've been having sign in issues on this site for months. It's worse on my phone, but it happens on my home computer as well. Constantly being signed out.

When I try to sign in on chrome with my saved credentials it won't work but when I enter them manually I get in.

I can't sign in on the front page via Chrome either. I'm still logged in to the front page via the MGoBlogHD app on iPhone though.

I was having this issue last night. I assumed it was a front page issue, so I just clicked on a random thread, and was able to sign in from there.

Running Mac OS 10.11.1
I can log in but it automatically logs out after one post.
Perhaps that is giving me a hint.

The 50x errors were a hint, but just coincidentally, I've had a few issues with Chromium the last few days so I did think it was on this end until I tried it with Iceweasel.

I have been using Firefox and have had no problem.
A lot of people mention that the problem occurs on the home page. I go to this site multiple times a day, and I have not gone to the home page in years. I go directly to the "recent posts" tab (which has the address mgoblog.com/tracker) which list everything [classified as "Diary, "Board", and "Story" (Brian, Seth, Ace, etc)] together. Much easier to use this portal IMO, as the table lists the 30 most recent posts (ordered not by date posted but by most recent comment) and no problems with staying signed in.

I had that problem for about six months, from early summer until about a month ago. I tried all the things you tried, and even contacted Brian, with no luck. I also usually run Chrome, but even tried other browsers. About a month ago it mysteriously started working again.

But since it happened before (for several days), I wasn't surprised that it was back to normal later in the day. Fine now.
