Lou Holtz on Ryan Day's 3rd loss to Michigan

Lou Holtz: "Losing to Michigan 3 years in a row is not good...what a long ride home that must be." Holtz goes on to reminisce about his time coaching at Ohio State when Woody Hayes was there for the "because I couldn't go for three" game. Sadly, Lou declined to comment on OSU's toughness.

Hey @OhioState curious what Lou Holtz thinks of Ryan Day losing to MIchigan 3 years straight? @mark_may had to ask pic.twitter.com/XpRTGlJTzA

OSU season point totals last three years.  They still have a bowl game to play.  But the delta right now between the last two years is 200 points.  Looks to me like they lost something that they may not get back for a very long time.  You can't go out tomorrow, lose Marvin Harrison Jr., restructure the BIG and find 150-200 missing points next season.  And even then, they still lost to us all three of these seasons.

That's crazy. I knew they were down from over past years but not by that much.

Also we put up over 50 more points than them this year. When is the last time we scored more points than them?

I couldn't understand why when OSU put up 35 points on MSU in the first half and got only 3 points the whole second half. I thought OSU was going to score 70 points. No way Urban Meyer would have taken his foot off the pedal.

I think Day is a great example of a coordinator who probably shouldn't be a head coach. It's ok to stay a coordinator, bro! Some people just don't have what it takes to lead - authenticity being one key thing.
