Jabrill Injury Rumor?

Submitted by MGoSwilly on

TIFWIW- Friend of mine who is an alum just sent me a text saying that his relative treated Jabrill Peppers at an Ann Arbor hospital after he punched glass and tore a ligament in his arm/wrist. Apparently out for the bowl game. Still nothing being reported, but just thought I'd pass it along. Apparently he has been seen in a cast around campus.

This is a rumor on Penn State's 247 site. Has anyone heard anything about this?

the time of the alleged injury?

Crap. I'm newish here.  I have no idea  how to embed tweets. Here's a quote instead:

Need a woman who is going to be patient with me because I know I'm not there yet. Just grow with me is all I ask.."

One thing I've learned around here is that if a post concerning some wild-ass rumor about one of our players is left up for more than 10 minutes it's probably VERY accurate.

Sadly.

HIPAA doesn't apply if the person chooses to reveal the information.  The key is that the disclosure comes from the patient, not the health care provider.

While we're on the subject, MGoBoard, it's HIPAA, not HIPPA.... it stands for Health Information Portability and Accountability Act.  HIPAA has a Privacy Rule, which contributes to the acroynm confusion.

Well, hell.  The curse of 20 years olds doing stupid shit has apparently hit again.  Disappointed it happened, but hopefully no-one else was hurt and that he learned a lesson.

Let he among us who did not do something dumb, even when said actions would have terrible and visible consequences cast the first stone.  Sometimes you ride the dragon, sometimes the dragon rides you.

We're 3 weeks from the Bowl game, if anyone can heal, Jabrill can.  So if he is confirmed out for that game the injury has to be pretty bad.  Heck, lots of DBs have played with a cast on their hand, wouldn't be able to return punts or play offense, but he's be able to hit and cover.

I'll never understand why posts like this are made. It's a "rumor" that hasn't been confirmed and the only thing posting this does is give the rumor legs and cause more drama for Jabrill. Now if it's true, he made a mistake and will pay for it, obviously. But that hasn't happened yet.

past few weeks:

  • slammed by OSU
  • MSU beats Iowa
  • Durkin abandons ship
  • UM bball gets smoked
  • Viramontes decommits
  • Peppers does stupid shit

Who the hell let Brady Hoke back in Ann Arbor 2.5 weeks ago?

OSU got boxed out of final four

MSU is going to get curb-stomped soon by Bama

Other teams definitely figured us out from Minny on

We still have coach B.  Short  memory folks may misremember this but he's one hell of a good coach and didnt forget everything based on a couple of crappy games

He wasnt going to play anyways

He'll be rested and ready to go for game #1 next year

Is it just the injury that is going to be the issue or will there be further discipline for how he may have hurt the hand?  We're not going to see this on the police blotter somewhere are we?

I thought the line was low too, Jabrill could move it 2 points IMO, but also with Roduck's health being a question, and Glasgow being out.  If we're healthy I think 9-10 points would be about right.  Rudock is supposed to play, but he may not be 100%, although it wasn't his throwing shoulder.

HIPAA is FOR public figures mostly, somebody at my work got into deep shit and went to jail for accessing information about Brittany Spears 10 or so years ago.

Actually the hospital or clinic if they have electronic records or tracking do take this stuff very seriously. Many people have been fired and subject to huge fines for violating HIPAA.

So that person who is a friend of a friend of a friend could end up being fired.
