#1) Your buddy made a few nice tackles in there.

#2) Shockingly this sort of passes the eye test. This is clearly not NFL ball but not as bad as I expected when I clicked the link.

#3) EVERYONE is really really pale.

#4) From the stands it is quite clear that very very few people in Finland care about football.

Thanks! Yes, the standard of ball in Finland is really good and I think the Wolverines QB is an American ex-D2/D3 college star. I actually play with 54 in our University team in England. He will probably be one of the best defensive players in the league in the upcoming season. In the UK we were all really impressed with the funding, attendance, organisation of the whole sport - especially in that video. You can see they have live TV/ camera crew and a screen in the stadium. In our games we are lucky to have 10/20 spectators including family, friends and other teams scouting us. For the National Final last season we had about 200 spectators but a lot of other teams make the trip to support Unviersity Football - and there was no organised camera crew and we were lucky to have a working scoreboard/ sound system!

As a person with Finnish bloodlines, I'm happy to see that my ancestral home embraces* football and has a football powerhouse nicknamed the Wolverines.   Double win.

Finland is rated as one of the highest standards of living, and they aren't passionate about American Football.   Go figure.   I thought the two would go hand-in-hand, as my college football addiction definitely enhances my standard of living.  I guess DirecTV probably doesn't sell a lot "Sunday Ticket" packages in Helsinki.

*After watching the video, though, I realize that using the term "embraces" is probably not the word choice.   But I see some a$$es in the seats, so there is at least minimal embracing by local Finn football fans.

Did you see at the end when one of the Wolverines made a gator chomp to mock the Seinajoki Gators, er Crocodiles?  Awesome.

Beating the Gators, er Crocodiles, is a Wolverine thing that knows no cultural or international bounds.
