Did autobench cost us?
Obviously DJ Wilson can pick up his third foul and we'd be in deep trouble still but did Wilson being on the bench for seven minutes cost us in a one point loss?
but he was having an awful game, shots just didn't go in enough, I'm proud of this team and hopefully this will end talk of DJ and Mo going pro and next season can be another special one.
Came out holding it, can't remember if he came back in afterwards.
The non box out on the missed FT will be the play I'll see for the next month or so.
That and my shitty cbssports.com feed.
Rarely do you see anyone boxing out. The thing that is so great about boxing out is when you are pushing your guy backwards, he cant go up for the ball because he is trying to hold his ground. If he does go up it's over the back when you go up for the rebound. It's physics I think. Is boxing out not allowed anymore??

I get it Wagner was struggling, but we needed his size.
MAAR was in way over his head.
Wagner hurt his wrist, that's why he came out.
It might come out later, but it looked like he jammed his hand on that foul and didn't come back.

Nah. It was a close game that Oregon won. I don't think anything about player management seemed deterimental.
Unless he was hurt, No reason to not have Mo out there.
No.
Inability to rebound, no matter who's in there is what cost us the most.
Yep. Rebounding is the thing missing. We have the shooting, guard play, and now defense. It's hard to win a title when you're getting outrebounded.
MAAR cost us the game. I love him but you cant be a starter, score two points AND be a liability on defense. You just cant.
His last foul pissed me off. Oregon player driving because he beat Rhakman then Rhakman decides to initiate contac and reach in and then HE flailed his arms up drawing attention to the foul smh
They just didnt play a good game. Walton and Irvin showed out for sure but the rest of the team played average at best
Mo Wagner played poorly
DJ Wilson did a poor job boxing out (Wagner should've been in to help)
Rhakman played the worst. He became a liability with his dumb fouls and his poor shooting
Robinson had 2 threes in a row that went in and out. Bad luck
Way too many turnovers
It just wasnt meant to be this year. Next year should be amazing though
If Robinson didn't come in and give up 8 points in 1 on 1 situations late in the first half, we would've won the game without doubt.
I think you could second guess Beilein quite a bit this game. I didn't like completely conceding offensive rebounds. But we lost when we had a chance to win on a buzzer beater, when many important guys played like ass.+
Oregon was considerably more ahtletic than us.
He's recognized that he needs help with defense.
It would be nice to see better rebounding -- which could be accomplished by getting better rebounders.

We're worried about losing two sophomores to the NBA, but recruiting is a problem?
If you want us to go toe-to-toe with Kansas and all the other dirty programs, you'll be disappointed, because Michigan doesn't want to play that game anymore. It's not just Beilein. It was true under Amaker, too, and it's going to be the case under Beilein's successor, in all likelihood. But JB does a hell of a job with the guys he does get.

Fans look too much for scapegoats. Sometimes sh*t just happens. This game was close the whole way and we lost by 1. Wilson and Walton had good looks in the final minute and they didn't go down.
Of individual players is absurd.
Come on now UM fans.
These kids don't deserve any negative shit about their game.
Same with the coaches.
We didn't play well, and yet we almost won. If Walton's shot at the buzzer had gone in, we'd all be celebrating and wondering how in the world that happened.

A team with 6 real contributors cannot afford to be in big foul trouble at the end of games.
Two times during this run, Beilein took a calculated risk and put someone back in with 2 in the first half - tonight with MAAR.
The refs were calling things tight, especially in the fist half. We needed all hands in the second.
If DJ had gotten a third foul in the first half, we might have gotten crushed.
The game was a toss-up; we lost the flip.
