It's pretty fun watching him and Devin White posture for top LB. White is obviously atop everyone's board coming in, but he's only got an inch and 3 pounds on our Devin, and Bush just slightly out-jumped him. White got Bush by a single rep in the bench.

It will be interested to see their testing the rest of the way.

Edit: 4.44 on his first run. Don't hurt em, Devin.

yeah he cant be replaced.  hopefully they find a similar player in 10 years or whatever but it wont be easy.  production, leadership, combine measurables, etc, hes obviously a unique player and the best at michigan in some time

It seems like you get a lot of fun out of shitting on Higdon, but he's a really good athlete.  Bush posted a 40 time faster than anyone not named Justice Hill, who's probably not a classic RB-type in the NFL.  But Higdon's 4.49 was one of the top numbers put up by the RBs this year (and would be top-15 over the past 3 years), and he's been a top performer in a bunch of other drills as well.  He's a good athlete and a pretty good college RB.  Bush is going to be a really solid NFL LB, but Higdon isn't some slouch.  He benefitted from solid run-blocking this year, yes, but he's still a more talented guy than probably was expected for the 40th-best RB in the nation when he signed.

I still think he should have stayed one more year, he has so much to gain from another year in college.

obligatory /s

By that I mean WE had so much to gain.

And a 4.44 40.  Devin White ran a 4.42.  Given their nearly identical combine performances and Bush's absolute dominance on the field, how do mock drafts still have Devin White still have ahead of Bush?

By the time this process is all said and done I think this will turn into more a 1a and 1b situation than the clear divide it was going into the combine. If Bush isn't a first round pick then NFL front offices are even more ridiculous than we already think they are.

Devin White was a consensus 1st team All-American and equally dominant at LSU.

Compared to Bush, White had nearly twice as many total tackles, 4 more tackles for loss, 3 more forced fumbles...

Nothing against Bush at all, there's just a legit reason that White is on top of people's mocks.

Fastest LB at Michigan, arguably the best. Didn’t have the same number of tackles as some of the LB from the run heavy 70s and 80s but he was all over the field and influenced most plays
