Bye Week OT-Big 10 Coach Actors
Since it's the bye week and there's nothing interesting going on in Michigan sports, I thought I'd pose this topic to the board. I noticed during the Minnesota game how much Fleck looks like the actor Mark Strong and it got me thinking about which actors would be best to portray each Big 10 coach. I'm only going off closeness in appearance, not who we think the best actor is for each coach in terms of acting ability. I will admit I'm not great at this so criticism is fair. So far I have:
Harbaugh-Tom Hanks (I don't love this one so there's probably a better comp)
Fleck-Mark Strong
Locksley-Forest Whitatker
Bielema-Bert Kreischer
Franklin-Keegan-Michael Key (This was too easy given the past stuff they've done together so any others are welcome here)
Fickell-Luke Wilson
Ferentz-Sam Waterston (this was tough for me and I know there's a better comp out there)
Rhule-Kevin James (James is heavier but they do look similar in some photos)
Allen-Simon Pegg (also tough but I think Pegg could pull it off with the right hair and makeup)
Ryan Walters-James Lesure
David Braun-Young Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Couldn't think of anyone living cause he's kind of generic looking)
Schiano-I know there's an actor he looks like but the name is completely stumping me so I couldn't get one.
I left Tucker off because I know you all can come up with something funnier than me for that one.

No real resemblance, but I'd pay money to see a movie with Christopher Walken in the role of Harbaugh.

Michael Shannon as Jim Harbaugh. It is the only answer.
And I think Michael Keaton or old-Woody Harrelson could pull of Ferentz. (Harrelson played getting old-guy pretty well in the flash forward scenes of True Detective). Robert Duvall in his prime would have nailed it but he is too old now and frankly Ferentz does not deserve Robert Duvall.

I hadn't thought of that. To me, Wilson is thinner, like Fickell so there's a physical comp. Love Sandler, but he's a little doughy to be Fickell.

I would suggest that they all be played by the TruStage ad that takes up the screen on an all too frequent basis these days.

Bret Bielema = the TruStage ad.
- Takes up 85% of your screen at a time.
- Went away for a period of time after his Arkansas gig, but then popped up again (at Illinois), just as big as ever.
- The color of the shirt the lady in the ad wears is a mixture of Illinois orange and Arkansas/Wisconsin red.

I think Fickell could be Adam Sandler and Schiano could be Luis Guzman. Fleck could also be that guy from Silicon Valley who wears the metallic jeans and is always so excited - I think the actors name is Chris Diamantopoulos
