Orange Bowl Open Thread (probably unavoidably CC)

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
I mean, with all the broadcast talk, the Gator Bowl should have been labeled CC. After today, I don't think it's avoidable. But they're actually playing a football game too.

Watching Tyrod Taylor, does anyone think that Denard or Devin could not fit into a pro-style and be successful?

Obviously in the spread their talents are maximized, but they could still be the best players on field.

This kid looks like a freak of nature.

But after watching Denard all year, Taylor looks to be slow and have a weak arm by comparison.

Whatever happens this offseason with coaching, PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME DENARD!

That their FB is also a LB?!??? You can see him on the field 1000 plays per game because of his glorious golden mane. Wait... maybe Moundros should have stayed on offense as well. Or at least grown out an awesome hairstyle. /s

JH just lied to try to get the ref to call TT out of bounds and then yelled at TT from the sidelines. Classless act by the Stanford coach. That's on the Stanford coach. What a bad guy. He's not a Michigan Man.

to come to Michigan? How about basically  forcing your new employer to pay your buyout? Or saying that Lombardi could  not get his players to play well. Many perceive those as the acts of a classless jerk.

What I find funny about these criticisms of Harbaugh--some legit--is that many at WVU did the same thing with RR. So why is one outrageous and the other is acceptable?

I think Bo would be embarrassed by UM's 'fans". From the DickRod assaults to the slurs against Harbaugh, this fan base has seen some unMichigan Man like behavior these past three years.

Frankly, I am tired of it all. Neither RR or Harbaugh deserve these attacks. Yes, both are flawed men, but are not we all flawed men?

But when had Henne ever actually committed to Penn State? In any regard, there was nothing wrong with it for Rich either. But the cheap shots are flying everywhere. I thought we were watching a football game? (Yeah, right).

Stanford beat Oregon last year.

And after watching Stanford's second half against VT, is there really any argument left for Stanford's offense being "boring" or "mediocre?"  They looked orders of magnitude more creative and balanced than we did against Miss St., especially if you compare second halves.

I feel for RR...he's a good guy whose tenure has been plagued by distractions.  First it was the lawsuits from his messy WVU divorce.  Then it was the Freep's hatchet job.  Then it was the Harbaugh-of-Damocles hanging over his head by the end of 2009.  I think it's fair to say that he had to deal with headaches most coaches never have to.  But he also made a slew of mistakes, particularly with regards to his defensive staff, but also in handling his own recruits (attrition, etc.).  Mistakes+headaches = disappointment.

It's time for a change, and Jimmy offers the possibility of both an exciting and high scoring offense, and a disciplined, aggressive defense.   Of course, we might not get him.  I hope the list of second choices extends beyond the lands of Hoke and Fitzgerald to more inspiring dominions...

Stewart had 13 carries all season

He's had the two biggest runs for the Cardinal so far in the game

Maybe when he's coaching the 49ers in his spare time, he can send Rodriguez some tips on RB rotation?
