TomVH: Avery Walls Decision Date
December 8th, 2010 at 12:09 PM ^
Let's hope you are wrong this time ;)
Thanks Tom!
December 8th, 2010 at 12:09 PM ^
I hope he doesn't go to Oregon, but with all that Nike cash they're getting..
who knows, I hope he goes blue.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
As long as he's not in the room they can take as much as they want...
December 8th, 2010 at 1:57 PM ^
We need the best recruits we can get so we can start our B10 Revenge tour ASAP.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
Probably not good for us then. Too bad, according to scout.com Oregon already has 2 safety recruits this year and one of them is a 4*.

December 8th, 2010 at 12:21 PM ^
cough cough donovan warren???
December 8th, 2010 at 12:22 PM ^
I don't like the timing of that announcement. It will be very difficult for us to get a commit this month.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
Oregon seems very far from home, I feel like that would have some additional impact with the sickness of his Grandmother.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:30 PM ^
It's not like Michigan's right next door to Georgia either
December 8th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^
Oregon is like 4 days..just sayin'
December 8th, 2010 at 1:09 PM ^
Oregon has these things called airports...just sayin'
December 8th, 2010 at 1:42 PM ^
a good ol' road trip is molestation free. Unless you're riding in a windowless van, of course.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
Thanks Tom. I wonder if MgoBlog will suffer another "everyone hitting the refresh button attack" similar to what happened during the Dee Hart committment?
December 8th, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^
yeah well hopefully the outcomes will be the same for both
December 8th, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
Well, your gut feeling was off when it came to Sammy Watkins...
...so hopefully you're wrong about Oregon's lead, too, and he chooses U of M.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:42 PM ^
December 8th, 2010 at 6:11 PM ^
Do you think Watkins could potentially switch back to UofM? I don't remember reading why he chose Clemson over M (especially with Crawford coming here). Any clarification from anyone who knows about it would be appreciated.
December 8th, 2010 at 6:36 PM ^
Not Tom and I don't remember when or where I heard this, but Watkins really likes Clemson's coaches and got along well with Charone Peake, current Clemson WR commit.
I don't think he ever liked the cold, but that might not have even been a factor.
December 8th, 2010 at 7:02 PM ^
This is why we can't have nice things!
December 8th, 2010 at 8:06 PM ^
I wasn't taunting TomVH. Hopefully nobody took it that way. I was just saying that maybe since he was misinformed about Watkins, his gut feeling about Walls be off, too, and then we could all be happy.
December 8th, 2010 at 10:05 PM ^
If Avery's Uncle has anything to say about it, he won't be headed to Michigan. His uncle posted on his(Avery) FB that he won't allow his nephew to attend college where the program is on probation. Just hearsay, but i thought i would throw that out there. Though Avery did say his uncle can be extreme at times.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^

December 8th, 2010 at 12:27 PM ^

December 8th, 2010 at 1:21 PM ^
I got all the other puns, but not this one.
Maybe it will Dee-awn on me eventually. Okay now I'm just Fishering for leftover scraps
December 8th, 2010 at 12:30 PM ^
...the walls are closing in...and from avery direction too.
December 8th, 2010 at 7:00 PM ^
Very punny you guys...
December 8th, 2010 at 7:09 PM ^
I'm grabbin a miller
December 8th, 2010 at 7:48 PM ^
The Clear Winner right here folks
December 8th, 2010 at 12:42 PM ^
I feel better about the recruits who are waiting until Jan/Feb to announce because we'll (hopefully) be passed the RR hot seat stuff. The fact that Walls is making his decision while things are still unsettled makes me think he doesn't need to know the outcome because it doesn't pertain to him. Hope I'm wrong.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
Why play for a school that changes their uniforms every week? Our helmets have wings, their shoulder pads have them. Honestly, the helmet is much better.
Go Blue Avery. We have lots of playing time available.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
Oregon's engineering program is not ranked nationally.
UM's program is #7 by US News.
I'd be a little surprised if he went to Oregon given his stance on this issue...but the football is pretty insane at Oregon right now so you never know...
December 8th, 2010 at 1:24 PM ^
He wants to be an engineer and a starting football player? Best of luck to him!
December 8th, 2010 at 1:33 PM ^
Yeah, that's going to be difficult unless he's one of those guys who is so smart he doesn't have to study.
I hate those guys. ;)
December 8th, 2010 at 1:38 PM ^
It'll be easy if he goes into IOE
December 8th, 2010 at 2:00 PM ^
Difficult, but do-able. Kevin Leach is in the engineering program.
December 8th, 2010 at 2:08 PM ^
One of the OL is too, Omameh I think.
December 8th, 2010 at 5:25 PM ^
http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/omameh_patrick00.html
Patrick Chuba Omameh was born December 29, 1989 ... enrolled in the College of Engineering
Also, sweet-ass middle name!
December 8th, 2010 at 6:16 PM ^
Omameh switched to Sociology. Engineering is a grind, and so is playing D1 football.. can't blame him, especially as a starter.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:01 PM ^
Was a 3.8 or so GPA engineering student and a pretty darn good offensive lineman for the Miaze and Blue! It can and has been done....
December 13th, 2010 at 11:44 PM ^
was. They must have overlooked him when they were steering people toward general studies.
December 8th, 2010 at 2:00 PM ^
Just FYI, Oregon does not even have an engineering program. Did he specifically say he wanted to become an engineer?
