Dee Hart listed again on Rivals?
I thought a few days ago Rivals dropped Dee Hart from Michigan's commit list...and now he is back on again. Does Rivals know something we don't?
Not that any of this matters except to give me a chance to say I dislike rampant speculation. We will know about Dee Hart when he is physically sitting in class.

He is coming, my close source cousin in the athletic department said so, so boom.

a powerful running back like him.
GO BLUE

Pretty sure Dee hart wasn't recruited to be a power running back. Stephen Hopkins is our power back. That is why Dee is ranked as an all purpose back by the recruiting sites. He is more of a slasher than a straight forward runner.

Why isn't former Michigan commit BJ Daniels starting for USF?
December 4th, 2010 at 8:22 PM ^
He was never a Michigan commit, he was a Michigan recruit. He is banged up and also has been horrible passing this year. He would probably be starting if he were healthy.
Nevermind; I'm not sure if you were joking or not. Probably were.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:59 PM ^
That's right. I get him confused with Newsome.
December 4th, 2010 at 11:19 PM ^
He is hurt and they have been running a wannabe pro style offense with a spread quarterback. He's best out of the spread n shred and isn't being utilized properly. USF's a good case example for a switch from spread to pro style.

i read that already but it was more of a commentary on Rivals. But fair enough, neg as appropriate.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:21 PM ^
Neg not necessary. Thanks for the update.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:24 PM ^
Yes, he did have a post in there.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:31 PM ^
Right, but not everyone reads all of the comments. I meant the original post was very baseless and uninformative. Now if TVH had an actual post, rather than a comment, I wouldn't have said that.

FYI, right under mgoboard, there is a "Tom" button. Press this, and it acts as a filter only allowing posts which Tom either initiates or comments on. It is helpful when you want to find out if Tom has weighed in on something.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:58 PM ^
You're blowing my mind, Mr. Kass. You can probably tell I'm new to this. (Other than the double-digit amount of mgopoints.)
December 4th, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
I literally never noticed that, +1 to you sir, for pointing that out.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
I'll just neg him. I likle nothing more than negging people who think they're the correct party.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:20 PM ^
When I logged in today the first thing I did when see the earlier post on his possible recommit was go to the rivals site and see what they had. Nice to see it back to Michigan instead of Alabama right now.

We will know about Dee Hart when he is physically sitting in class
As opposed to when he is metaphorically sitting in class? (I know what you mean, I just felt like being a smart-ass for some reason.)
December 4th, 2010 at 8:38 PM ^
Being a smart ass doesn't work as well if you explain that you are being a smartass.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:42 PM ^
That's kinda how I feel about the "/s" tag too, but I guess it's necessary sometimes so people don't just think you're being a douche.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:42 PM ^
I have heard of 'sitting-in' on classes. That doesn't mean someone is actually in class. I want the warm fuzzy feeling of looking over in class and seeing him physically there. Howeva, that would be difficult since I have graduated some time ago (unless I was a stalking freak).
December 4th, 2010 at 8:44 PM ^
That's cool. People do that kind of thing here.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:10 PM ^
where the football players only show up in class metaphorically.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:38 PM ^
are we talking MSU again?
December 4th, 2010 at 8:39 PM ^
He's back on our commit list as a "Soft Verbal."
December 4th, 2010 at 8:53 PM ^
that he didn't decommit last night as expected, but that if Brandon doesn't announce soonish that Rich Rod is staying things will continue to deteriorate.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:48 PM ^
Did anyone notice on the Alabama Rivals website that they were saying, "Will possible 5 star flip to Tide?"
http://alabama.rivals.com/default.asp?type=2
Funny how potentially switching from Michigan to Alabama suddenly makes him a 5 star even though his rating didn't change.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
I think they mean that he'll (most likely) become a five-star in the near future, because of his ridiculous numbers.
December 4th, 2010 at 8:56 PM ^
is Dee Hart?
December 4th, 2010 at 8:59 PM ^
Kicking prospect.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:05 PM ^
We need a kicker. I hope he doesn't decommit. It would be embarrassing for this board to melt down.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:14 PM ^
Just well played and awesome!!

re Dee Hart threads...(except TomVH)
December 4th, 2010 at 9:52 PM ^
At first I thought yours said "re: Dee Hart dreads ... blah blah blah", which was almost banhammer worthy, but you didn't; so, this post is dumb.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:04 PM ^
Not to be go there right now, but isn's anyone worried that Dee will be another Vinnie Smith? His high lights look awful familar...just saying!
December 4th, 2010 at 9:07 PM ^
I was a little worried at first when I had seen his highlights. But when I examined them more closely, I think Dee Hart's explosion out of his cuts are phenomenal and exactly what you want to see out of a great back.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:28 PM ^
Is Dee an Facsimilie? I like his explosiveness, but just looking for a tangiable comparison.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:08 PM ^
Vinnie?
December 4th, 2010 at 10:42 PM ^
lol...I know...my middle name is Vincent...heard it all...and yes I'm from NY
December 4th, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
He's Vincent Smith style-wise, except with much more speed, strength and catching skills. Basically, he's pretty similar, just vastly better.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:06 PM ^
This is getting ridiculous - Brandon should step up and confirm that RR will be back. We are an improved 7-5 and going to a New Years Day bowl game. He's gonna fire the guy? Come on.
December 4th, 2010 at 9:24 PM ^
Brandon has made the decision to wait until the end of the season. Wielding to the bitching of fans and the media will only weaken his strength as a leader.
December 6th, 2010 at 10:23 AM ^
It is thinking like that that leads me to believe a lot of this is simply coming down to DB's pride. He said he isn't going to decide until the season's over so dammit! he isn't going to decide until the season is over!!
I have listened to all this DB love and posts about the undying faith so many have in the guy, but I have to say, with each passing day my faith in the guy diminishes.
This is the first evidence we have in which to judge DB as an AD.. None of his past really correlates that well to being an AD. In this instance, I can't see how anyone thinks this timeline isn't a massive mistake. Beyond this, no one can point to anything to say "remember when DB did this and everything worked out....just have faith". He hasn't done anything to this point to warrant that faith.
To say that he isn't wielding to the bitching of fans and media is drastically understating what is going on here. Due to the uncertainty of the situation we are losing ground with current targets and it looks like we may possibly lose some of those already considered to be in the fold because of the way this has been handled. To say this is only about fans and media is absurd.
I am a Cardiologist but have many friends in the business world and I can say that there aren't many CEO's that don't recognize that there will be times when situations dictate that you need to abandon what you thought was the correct course of action and move in another direction. Changing your stance or gameplan because of a change in situation doesn't make you a weak leader, it makes you a smart one.
The biggest mistake he made was providing a concrete timeline for his evaluation, there was really no need to do that with anyone outside the program. He has a chance to put his pride aside and do what is in the best interest of the program now, even though it goes against his original plan. If he can't do that, I will say he has made two monumental mistakes in the short time he has been the AD at UM.
I am not saying DB won't turn out to be a great AD, but I am questioning all the faith people have in him considering the evidence we have to go on thus far.

BOOOOOOM!!!
