06/21/2018 - 10:26am Most of my Michigan apparel…

Most of my Michigan apparel is from Moe's, so this is disappointing, but not shocking based on how empty it was the past few times I visited it.  Agree with other posters that their gear seemed priced a little higher, but was more traditional and higher quality.  I think MDen's expansion and The Victors Collection stole a lot of business from Moe's.

They also all occured in the first 7 quarters of the season.  In the last 45 quarters of the season, WRs caught zero TDs.

Black returning and an extra year of experience for the entire WR corps will be huge for this team.

Link is missing a "c" in Tucson.

This seems like the most mild piece of news out of the Rich Rod drama this offseason.  Nothing in there seemed that eggregiously bad other than some of the language in the "wives" section.

Honorable mention all-conference, not 1st or 2nd team all-conference.

With that said, he has good size at 6'5" 300 lbs and is definitely a smart guy (major at Rice was Mathematical Economic Analysis).

09/19/2017 - 5:16pm If he is considering Brown

If he is considering Brown and Penn but not Wharton, then I am not sure why he is applying to Ross.  The coursework at Ross is much more typical of an MBA program vs. a liberal arts degree from an east coast school.  Economics at UofM would be a better fit.

Were his teams worse because they passed more?  Or did they pass more because they were worse (and thus fell behind more frequently)?  I would argue the latter.

06/20/2017 - 2:56pm They cannot soak tax payers

They cannot soak tax payers dry via bonds, but they certainly use debt financing via UofM bonds.  I was once in attendance during a discussion where Dave Brandon touted that it was nice to leverage the University's Aaa credit rating for athletic department needs.

You hide your biases so well, Maizen.

Bamba is a top 5 recruit, has Duke and Kentucky as his top schools, and does not have any former AAU teammates on the current Michigan team.  Beilein was smart to stay away until Bamba came calling.

03/27/2017 - 1:51pm I actually think the title is

I actually think the title is quite good, but I do not agree with the conclusion, as we were one of the teams to jump in year one of a new coach.  We also do not have the experience that EMU does.  Not sure the parallels can be drawn here.

03/01/2017 - 9:41pm Well, we also win in

Well, we also win in non-regular ways.

  • Trey Burke against Kansas
  • GRIII against Purdue
  • Kam Chatman against Indiana to put us into the tournament last year
  • Under the Lights I
  • 2012 NW football (Roundtree catch)
  • 2013 NW triple OT after sprinting field goal team onto the field
  • 2014 M00N won on the last play

This was a great college game. Mistakes and triumphs on both sides. They were just a bit better tonight.

03/01/2017 - 9:26pm Did this game actually matter

Did this game actually matter any more than the Roundtree game?

02/21/2017 - 11:18am The article has negative

The article has negative comments towards Duke, Virginia, and Baylor too.  Maybe it happens to Michigan more than others because Michigan has a higher profile, but it happens to everyone.  We might notice more Michigan comments more because this blog/board posts every nugget about Michigan that is on the internet (not a knock on the blog/board).

While I agree that they have played soft schedules, you cannot play this game without saying who you think belongs in the top ten instead of them.

It is frighteningly hard.  Everyone has flaws.  No one has beaten anyone.  Which makes sense because the top teams have so few losses. Only 13 overall losses in the top ten:

  • 7 against other top ten teams
  • 2 against USC (ranked #13)
  • 4 against unranked teams (Pitt twice, Houston, and Iowa :( )

The snark on this board can make it quite an unpleasant place.  Always surprised by the malice Michigan fans have for a fellow fan wanting to watch the game abroad.

You should really only get a MAcc for three reasons:

1. If you need credits for the CPA (most states require 150 overall and 30 accounting credits)

2. If you missed your shot to recruit with accounting/finance firms as an undergrad (as a MAcc, you will be recruiting against undergrads, not grads) and want to recruit with those firms

3. If you really want to learn more about technical accounting

If you are already working in accounting, I am not sure a MAcc will help you, especially if you are not looking to be a CPA.  Your GMAT is high enough to get into pretty much any MAcc program though.

I do not know much about MSF programs, but if I were you, I would look to get an MBA instead.

12/06/2015 - 3:10pm You do not have to wonder.

You do not have to wonder.  Michigan would not have had a shot at the Rose Bowl if Durkin would have stayed.

Brian's guide from 2011 is a really good place to start: http://mgoblog.com/content/guide-ann-arbor-eating-drinking.

Unlike Brian, I do think the Chop House is has very good to great food, but they are part of Main Street Ventures, so you will pay 20% more than you should due to high rent prices.

Yes, he did.

09/05/2014 - 2:38pm Even if official preseason

Even if official preseason polls went away, that wouldn't stop writers/bloggers from creating their own top 25 polls.  I am sure respected writers/bloggers' top 25s would act as starting points for most voters once the polls officially start.

There will always be some kind of bias, and I don't think eliminating the official preseason polls will help.

02/12/2014 - 6:14pm This is sort of a misleading

This is sort of a misleading title.  This rule change should not have much of an effect on hurry up offenses.  The fastest offenses still take 18 seconds between each play.  This would have them snapping at around the 22 second mark on the play clock.

01/18/2014 - 11:36pm In former Michigan hockey

In former Michigan hockey player news, Jacob Trouba had two goals tonight, including the game winner in OT.  It would have been great to see him still at Michigan this year, but I'm glad he's having success in the NHL.

To the people suggesting Scot Loeffler, look at what he's done since he left Michigan in 2007. His offense this year is worse than Borges'.  For real.
