Why is it Boise State consistently gets 3 star players and makes them work, we get 3 star players and get nothing out of them. It all leads back to coaching or in our case the lack thereof. I have supported RR, but I have reached the point where it wouldn't hurt my feelings to show him the door tomorrow.

Since 2008, Boise State is 33-1 (4-1 against Ranked Opponents). They have beaten four straight BCS opponents and are 6-1 against BCS opponents since 2006. They have won two BCS bowl games, going undefeated in both seasons. Boise State has fielded excellent football teams by any standards recently and it would be foolish to say that they haven't gotten a lot out of their talent.

but even if he wasn't, the assumption that Harbaugh would just drop Stanford and come here at the first wink from Brandon is fanciful. Harbaugh has said on many occasions that Stanford is his dream job, and that Palo Alto was always the place he most wanted to be.

If Rich Rod cries during the press conference after this game he should be fired before he gets back to Ann Arbor. I have never seen a coaching staff look more like a deer in the headlights than this staff and do less to inspire the players on the sidelines.

I'd much prefer UM to run the table (or even run the table except for OSU, or even loose every game but beat OSU).  But I don't think any of these will happen.

I expect this poor play to continue with aone or two easy wins.  That isn't good enough IMO.  If this happens, I would prefer a coaching change.  I think a coaching change would be needed.  You don't have three Big Ten seasons like this and continue at UM, no matter what your excuses are and no matter how good (inconsistent still) your offense is or might be.  It just won't be good enough.

I don't worry about UM - we will be strong again fairly soon.  If RR stays here long enough, he'll succeed eventually, but I don't think UM should wait that long.

Go Blue!

Dave Brandon meant when he said RR will be here for along time that he would be offered to come back and be our offensive coordinator again. Thats what this guy is.........an OC. But there will be a new guy delivering for Dave Brandon.

I want to tell you that you're wrong; that this is just a rough patch, and that Michigan will emerge from this stronger and better prepared to compete in the future.

I wish I could disagree with you.  I really do.

at bowl eligibility.  Purdue can't score on anyone.  They will propbably score 35 on us.  If there's anyone that wants to hang 50 on RR it's Danny Hope.  At least Tressel will be a gentleman like he was last year and not run it up too bad.

We just scored, now within 14 and plenty of time left.

If we come back and win this thing I'm gonna laugh my ass off at all you guys calling for RR's head on a platter, and it will make the win that much sweeter.

Please God, let it be.....

Laugh and point fingers vs. hide and cry.

<br>And I don't know that it's a kitchen, and not a whole new wing...but in any case, would you still use the architect who trashed the kitchen...?

Not hiding.  I'll still be here.

And saying RR trashed the kitchen isn't exactly an accurate characterization of things.  It wasn't exactly sparkling to begin with.  Granted it hasn't improved under his watch.  I think that criticism is valid but it doesn't warrant firing RR, if anything it warrants a change at DC.

The reason why I think RR isn't going anywhere is UM's offense is fine

The defense is frustratingly and excruciatingly bad, how much better would Mich be if they could play D?

Chicago-based Michigan fan here.

Bulls down by 20 to the Pistons at halftime (I know most of you are probably Pistons fans)

Blackhawks tied with the Wild

I turned a Michigan game off in disgust.

I've been a Michigan football fan since I was 9 years old in 1993. Remember Dreisbach to Hayes.

But I'm done.

Sports mean too much to me. And I get too little joy back.

Go Blue. Go Bears, Bulls, Cubs, Blackhawks.

But I'm done.

See ya on the other side.

I like the spread offence and honestly don't want to go back to the old style. But this D is just so bad. I mean this is Michigan. You should be able to put together a middle of the road D that can at least stop people once and a while.

At this point I just want to win again. So whatever it takes is fine by me.

I like Craig Roh, but he hasn't made a play since BG.  In fact none of these guys have.  There is no evidence that proves this offense works in the Big Ten and there is no evidence that this staff knows anything about defense.

Bo said it so many times.  BLOCK AND TACKLE.  We are doing neither very well.  We haven't made a serious hit on someone since BG.

I wouldn't mind taking either of these guys at this point. I was not a supporter of RR coming to UM, however jumped on board to give him a chance. I just don't see the Defense evolving anymore. Tonight has to be the statement game that tells Brandon, Rich Rod is a great guy, good coach (for the Big East, Mac, etc...) but he just CAN'T win big games. 2007 Ranked #2 losing to PITT. He Beat an Oklahoma team that was comparable to the 2007 Michigan team.

Harbaugh- Getting him would not make us wait 4 years to get anywhere. I would venture to bet that if he came to Michigan, he would be NO WORSE than 6-6 in his first year. It's not like we don't have Talent. I like a lot of the pieces we have on Defense for 2011.

D-Line: Martin, Van Bergen, Ash, Talbott, Campbell?

LB's: Roh, Demens, Robinson, Furman

Secondary: Woolfolk, Floyd, Christian, Talbott,

Alot of them now being upper class men. The Offense would need adjustments. Robinson/Gardner/Forcier are more than adequate QBs. We're still okay at WR/TE. Definitely okay at RB with the new class.

Miles: He could probably handle the Transition better, plus has a National Championship ring. I feel his coaching abilities are not as bad as the LSU forums state. I like his defense, I'm pretty sure he runs a 3-4 which would be fine... Balance vs Power... I think it would be the best Variation for the athletes we have.

That's just my opinion on the topic. I would love to give Rich Rod a 4th year, but we're honestly going to make a bowl on a 6-6 Year... I would just fire Rod, respectfully decline a Bowl Game- if possible- and move this team in a different, more efficient direction.
