This offense can't score when it needs to in the Big Ten.  Yeah I know the defense is young and inexperienced Rabble rabble rabble, there is no excuses eight games in.  Play the game

Another game performing below expectations, another loss to a Big 10 team we should have beat.  Oh well, thanks to everybody who hung out during the game to vent, see you all next week.

All I wanted was for the defense to show some improvement.  Now all I can hope for is that this giant leap into the abyss won't turn recruits away.

We just got beat on a fake field goal, really?  This is the WORST coaching staff ever at the University of Michigan!  Sorry if Rich Rodriguez is not gone, I'm giving up my season tickets....done!  I thought MSU was embarassed today, this is twice as bad!

you have to move down the road to that position coaching job where you will be long forgotten.  But, occasionally, someone will remember your name and not quite remember why it seems vaguely familiary.

Looking at the potential offense we have next year, and with the clean slate on D all we need is competence. We dont have impact seniors anywhere on this team.

Will next year be the end of days for RR? Absolutely. But no sense getting a new coach now, all that does is lose us  recruits, possibly have  5-10 transfers (which depth wise we literally cannot afford) and then what. We bitch and moan about 2 sub .500 seasons in a row... and were right back where we started with a new name on the door to the office.

I understand, we played like shit. For the first 2 quarters.

But remeber, this is still a freshman defense more or less, with new guys starting. on the road. at night. in happy valley.

Relax. Breathe. New week we can count on having a new day to make us smile.

I don't know man. Penn State is not very good at all. Illinois embarrassed them at home, and Bolden played in that game. If there was ever a confidence-building opportunity for our defense, this was it. It looks like our defense is just plain bad, and will play poorly no matter who they go up against.

Another 5-7 season is not out of the question. Illinois is better than we thought they were. Purdue is bad, but we thought that about Penn State too. Any small chance we had against Wisconsin or Ohio State has evaporated.

The teams we've beat are pretty bad; UConn is 4-4, Notre Dame lost at home to Tulsa, UMass isn't even a good FCS team, BGSU is BGSU, and Indiana is 0-4 in conference play. The '09 script is playing out again, scene for scene. I'm trying to find a silver lining here, but I just can't.

1. Spread and shred is gonna kill it with U-M talent! I believe!

2. He just needs to get his players. Then it's gonna be on!

3. The cupboard was bare.

4. Fire GERG/Shafer

5. RR is our coach--you should always support your coach!

6. I want to see us win, but would it be that bad to lose if it led to a regime change? (How'd Stanford do this week?).

7. Alright, if we lose this game, I'm done

8. Fire RR.

Se ya. You got your ass kicked by a shitty PSU team w/ a backup  walk on QB. Your D sucks worse than a div.8 shitty high school team. Enough of the bullshit "its a matter of time" bullshit from this site. This team sucks balls!. Illi (loss) Purdue (who fuckin cares) tOSU ( ass kickinn)  Wisc ( fuckin ugly). 6-6 WOW! we get to play in the dick bag bowl. Get this over with fire Rich ( the firrst time I ever said this) and hire JimBO. Neg the fuck out of me I dont fucking care! The Rich Rod erea is over

I'm not a White Sox fan but I do find Hawk Harrelson amusing especially when a Sox pitcher strikes someone out and he says "He gone." That seems appropriate here.

Just got home from the game.  All the PSU fans around me were just hoping to keep it close and that it would be a good game.  One even said, "I hope you guys take it easy on us".

Yeah we did.  We gave up 41 points to a walk on sophomore and a patched up team full of injuries after we had a bye week to prepare.

I'll watch the video tomorrow, but what I noticed tonight was that the coaches aren't even giving the kids a chance to make a play.  3rd and 3, my son tugs on my arm and says, "Why are they playing 12 yards off the receivers?"  If a 13yo can see it I'm sure the coaches saw it.

Sweep, screen, sweep, screen.  We saw the old Michigan offense tear up the present defense tonight.  Roh was completely lost in space at LB.  3-3-5 sucks!

Nope, I fell off the RR bus tonight.  He's a great Offensive Coordinator, but he's in waaay over his head as a HC in a major conference.  It's over and we'll count the past 3 as well as the next 2 as rebuilding years.

can you imagine if we had an FBS-average defense?  our defense is ranked around 107 out of 120 teams, right?  imagine if we fielded just an average defense ranked around 50th or 60th.  with our #4 ranked offense and the leading rusher in the nation as our quarterback.

someday our D will be average again... its just a matter of time (and the right personnel on that side of the ball).  around that time our offense will be full of upperclassmen.  can you imagine?  DB and RR are building something, just wait and see...
