is really that bad...
October 30th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
Purdue and PSU are pretty good at making opponents look good, but Illinois deserves some credit for stepping up their play as well. They're definitely the toughest of the next 3 opponents.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
They looked respectable in their loss to Ohio State (they may even have won that game had the refs not handed OSU a much-needed first down on a late 4th down play), they destroyed Penn State, and are now putting it on Purdue. I still like UM's chances at home but it is definitely a game we could lose.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:18 PM ^
They played a great game against O State. They will score 35+ on us, so the question is, can we beat that D?
October 30th, 2010 at 2:44 PM ^
It's not a given that they'll score that many. Freshman QBs on the road aren't always a sure thing.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:12 PM ^
Scheelhaase seems to be growing into the job at QB. I don't like to see that. I think he might still be liable to have a meltdown on the road, though.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
at the Rally to Restore sanity? I remember a line about him from one of those VH-1 countdown shows. He has his lucid moments and then the Jaeger kicks in.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:15 PM ^
I want to see a huge scoring day against Purdue. I will be disappointed if we don't hang 60 on them.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:17 PM ^
I've been writing about Ebert since the middle of summer, I hate it that he's burning me right now. He sure is open a lot today
October 30th, 2010 at 2:17 PM ^
to be fired if we lose to Purdue this year. (mainly /s - but DAMN they are bad)
October 30th, 2010 at 2:18 PM ^
... flag on the play.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:23 PM ^
Miami's 4th string QB just threw up a duck in the back of the endzone, but it was a great play for the VA DB to get his foot down. On review but looks good.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:25 PM ^
was just the worst pass in the history of passing. Someone throw in the towel, they're getting KILLED out there...
October 30th, 2010 at 2:27 PM ^
is looking very good! I'm starting to get a little worried about next week's game. On the other hand, our game against PURDON'T in 2 weeks should be a laugher.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:30 PM ^
Sadly I am now watching IU-Northwestern as that seems to be the only competitive game in HD.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:31 PM ^
I'm sort-of rooting for Indiana, but that "First down Hoo-siers!" song is brutal to listen to.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:35 PM ^
Fake punt Tennessee, and then they follow it up with a TD strike on the next play.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:36 PM ^
That despite Purdue's complete and utter ineptitude, even THEY can kick field goals.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:39 PM ^
But I got BC-Clemson on in my area /s. Man, the ACC is bad. V-Tech plays Thursday, so they'll stick in the top-25 to avoid the Big East's humiliation. But, FSU might drop out, and the U will be gone. NC State and Maryland are lurking in the also-votes
October 30th, 2010 at 2:45 PM ^
I need Clemson to score 13 today. They've been stuck on 10 since the 1st. I don't have the game on but it must be brutal to watch.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:40 PM ^
Do you think any of the UM players are watching Purdue-Illinois right now? It's too early to go to the stadium -- any chance they are eating some pasta and scouting for the next two weeks?
October 30th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
I'd say probably not. If they're watching anything, you'd better bet it's Penn St game film.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:40 PM ^
Did anyone see that Interception return by Virginia? Miami's offense looked like a high school team trying to tackle there haha.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:41 PM ^
Then Tennessee had its typical second-half meltdown. I'm waiting for 3:30. These games sort of stink.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
that it's devil's night.. i didn't even realize this..
October 30th, 2010 at 2:45 PM ^
So what you're saying is Denard is about to raise hell in Happy Valley?
October 30th, 2010 at 2:47 PM ^
+1 good sir! that was nice.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:46 PM ^
I am surprised the NCAA doesn't require Michigan State to have a bye week when Devil's Night falls on a Saturday
October 30th, 2010 at 2:48 PM ^
Oh god, if they lose to Iowa I feel bad for all those couches. Must be good business owning a furniture store in East Lansing though.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:50 PM ^
made sure that they atleast put the game in Iowa City.. that's the best they could do.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:50 PM ^
Tulsa held ND to a 3-and-out, and is currently in the red zone.
UPDATE: Touchdown, Golden Hurricane. XP good, 7-0.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:53 PM ^
Considering it's the biggest game he's ever coached in and all
October 30th, 2010 at 2:57 PM ^
Notre Dame Stadium is quiet, lifeless, and unengaged. Not surprising, given the tragedy this week and the generally lackluster play this year... but this does not bode well.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:21 PM ^
ND is so down right now its crazy. whooops they just scored. Damn my timing.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:48 PM ^
Clemson goes for it on 4th. It has all day as BC's rushing only 3. Then Clemson throws it short, and the BC defender is there to tackle him short of the first.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:50 PM ^
Tulsa is moving he ball on ND and just scored while I'm typing this.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:52 PM ^
Tennessee and SC all tied up.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:55 PM ^
I wish I could get that game out here on the West Coast.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:59 PM ^
My ISP blocks ESPN3. Qwest = China.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:53 PM ^
CBS sports interview with Tebow comin up next.. should be interesting.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:57 PM ^
Dayne Crist is an idiot for not getting running out of bounds on that play.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:57 PM ^
The Tommy Rees show commences. This will not end well.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:59 PM ^
Anyone else watching Illinois v. Purdue catch that comment about Kiffin? "I don't trust anything Kiffin says..."
October 30th, 2010 at 3:01 PM ^
How is that a late hit on Reese.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
Just made ours look stellar.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
ND scored a touchdown... but Tulsa blocked the XP and returned it for two points.
9-6, Tulsa.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:06 PM ^
How about the upset in the making in Virginia? That's very unfortunate because I kind of like Shannon, but he has been falling short of expectations in Miami. A few former players are becoming quite vocal about it too.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:06 PM ^
tulsa returning [that blocked xp] to glory. tremendous jim.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:07 PM ^
CUSE!
BOWL ELIGIBLE! 6-2!
