Michigan Vs Notre Dame in 131 days
Pardon my questions. I'm sure this came up when it was announced, but I don't remember seeing it in this forum. I did the googly thing and did not find my answer either. I also tried the blog search to no avail.
Can someone inform me as to why Michigan agreed to resume the series AT SB after what has previously transpired?
I'm assuming either the new agreement has provisions where Michigan will get the final, or even final TWO home games this time, if the series goes on hiatus again (Which I hope never happens).
Otherwise, I can understand it if this deal was made to restart the series as an away, only if that was what Michigan needed for some reason....
Their fans want it back just as much as we do.
Thanks in advance. Go Blue! Beat the Irish!

My suspicion is that you are correct. I was hoping for insider info to prove me wrong.

I always thought it was "... and then I'll take the punk's home". Learn something new everyday.
Yeah! 'Cause now that the snow is finally gone, let's hurry up and be done with Summer!
Some of us enjoy the snow. Personally, the Summer is my least favorite season so I'd have zero problem with it!

Was in LA for business last week and stopped by the Rose Bowl. Man that place is freaking awesome! Next time Michigan makes it there you must go! There is nothing better. Good things are coming our way.

Agreed. Except that I just finished watching the Amazon series and now I'm dying for football. Not just because I miss it, but it sucked watching some of those episodes, especially the last 3 games. I'm glad we have a big game right off the bat instead of waiting until the 4th week to get a decent read on this team.
Florida this past year, that was supposed to be a real indicator of where we stood. Maybe if Wilton and Tariq hadn't gone down, we could've maintained that momentum. Maybe our QBs were doomed to injury given the status of the OL. I believe we have greater depth this year, as well as a better OL.
No worries about the gameday countdown. The Sydney Express will be along shortly to start the countdown, and it's aftermath.
You will be annoyed at first. Then, through the summer, it'll get boring and wierd. Closer to Fall, people will get more interested, and you'll have the occasional trespasser starting the thread if Sydney is an hour late. This will happen with more regularity closer to ND gameday, and each thread will become ~100 post entities filled with remembrances from games of yore. The last week, most of the posts will say something like 'STOP, already! I can't take it anymore - START THE GAME!!!'.
Fever will pitch. Loins will be girded. Air will be palpable.

Forgot how Chesson took out three ND guys on that play.
AD needs to release some clips from the final scrimmage. We are jonesing for some M football.
One of my favorite plays ever.
Instant good feels upon viewing. Fuck Notre Dame.
One of my favorite things about Denard, other than his amazing attitude, was when he hit the open field like that you knew it was a high probability he would score.
It was pretty much a sure thing. He never played a game in which he wasn't the fastest guy on the field, and that includes against that stealin' n' cheatin' MF'er, Terrelle Pryor.

flappin in the wind!!!
It is BS that ND cuts out the last game in the previous series, which was in Ann Arbor - and then we renew the next series on an even 1 for 1 set up starting in a manner where we now have ND, MSU, and OSU all on the road next year.
To hell with Notre Dame.
And the timing of which they cut that last game which would have been in Ann Arbor, making it impossible for us to give them the finger and cancel the game before that.
Everything always works in Notre Dame's favor. This stunt, the undeserved NBC TV contract, them being allowed to "sort of" be a member of the ACC, all those years where they would schedule a game at the last second the week before playing Michigan as a tune up while we had to open with them.
I've long gotten tired of Notre Dame and their sh*t. It's why I'm not sad that the series is ending.
So why does UM put up with their BS? Is it just to give the fans what they want? Ratings?
I'm ok not playing them unless it's on UM's terms.
I thought I'd heard Harbaugh wanted ND back on the schedule ASAP whether it's home or away. I'd have hoped we'd be able to drag ND to Ann Arbor first in that case, but obviously we didn't win that negotiation
